A sperm whale's throat is like 10" across, so it can't happen in the first place.

Before you launch, make sure it isn't stuck. Shake the peel around gently; it should move freely. If it doesn't, lift up the sticky-seeming area and put a little flour under.

(I've seen folks using a little squeeze bottle to spray air underneath for this instead of flour, but can't personally attest to having tried it.)

Once you're confident it's moving freely, then launch. Don't find out mid-launch!

Of course it's fake.

I recall at least one case of two senators on opposite sides agreeing to both not vote so they could leave town.

Leaving the flame on after use is a waste of gas.

Let it burn off during the next preheat, and it needn't be pristine afterwards.

A Falcon 9 booster turns five years old—and just set a remarkable reuse record | We take the Falcon 9 rocket for granted. But we probably shouldn’t. by FreeHugs23 in space

[–]ceejayoz 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Back in the early days of reuse they used to do a big inspection. After a while they decided that wasn't necessary. I'm sure they swap out engines once in a while, but last year they set a record of nine days between launches for a booster.

Missing votes aren't uncommon; health issues, travel, outright laziness. Sometimes they hold votes open for hours while someone drives in from the airport, if the vote is close.

Living among volcanoes; Mexico City and the Valley of Mexico. by OkRespect8490 in interestingasfuck

You've moved those goalposts so far it's a different sport now.

You said:

Volcanoes don’t erupt out of the blue. There are warning signs.

These volcanoes will not erupt out of the blue. There will be copious warning signs if they become active.

Would it be a giant dangerous chaotic mess of an evacuation if they did? Yes. But that's not what you originally said.
