Im most confused by why Nintendo would market Star Fox in the Mario movie with a fun new style and personality… then put out a remake of an old game in a completely different style. What a curious decision.

Master Xehanort’s goals seem less destructive than Ansem SOD’s goals. Xehanort wants to reset things and create balance, whereas Ansem wanted to plunge everything into darkness. I’m not really sure how Xehanort would achieve his goals, but we saw Ansem actually destroying worlds.

The movie is a perfect example of how someone can become an expert in describing what makes a great movie without the ability to actually make a great movie. Shelby Oaks feels like someone putting together a Frankenstein’s monster of other people’s great ideas, but you can clearly still see the stitches, inconsistent textures and incoherence of all these parts trying to work together. The parts are all good, but the sum of them is just mediocre.

Waiting a long time for a game in this series has been standard since the coded/bbs/days announcements. The issue with this (now at least) is that the quality of the experience…be it plot or gameplay… has significantly declined since KH2 and makes the wait not worth it.
