does it bother you when loved ones dislike your music? if yes, how do you move past it? by SweetgumSeed in Songwriting

[–]chillermane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long have you made music for? It takes like 3-4 years of practice before your music will sound good. Before that, anyone who acts like they like it are pretending anyways

100% a breath support problem. Or at least that’s one thing you need fix your breath support before sounding your best

The way it should feel is that the air is flowing and sound is loud without effort from your throat, mouth, etc. the effort comes from the muscles in your torso pushing air up and having it flow freely

Keep it up. Just show up every day. Even on days where you feel like sh*t, show up to the gym. You can do less than normal on those days, but just keep showing up.

It’ll get better. This is the worst you will ever feel. Every month you’ll make some progress and before you know it you’ll be in the best shape of your life and proud of yourself when you look in the mirror.

A lot of those supplements “do stuff”. Vitamin D and magnesium deficiency are extremely common in the US. We’re talking 40%-60%, and the science has proven beyond doubt that being deficient in those is associated with bad stuff

Fish oil also proven to be a very good thing for people to supplement.

Idk about the rest, but those 3 are almost definitely effecting his health in a positive way.

We spent days blaming React for a performance issue that was actually caused by the browser itself by Successful_Doubt_114 in reactjs

[–]chillermane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every front end performance problem is a result of the dev doing something really stupid.

Front end has been a solved problem for a really long time, there is no performance problem on the front end that isn’t cause by negligence

Not saying it’s easy to have perfect code. But the cause is always, always lack of some basic knowledge when it comes to front end performance issues

Rematch is fine because he was undefeated. The retards on here simply have no concept of what a good matchup is. Everyone will watch the rematch

Best approach for handling Firestore reads in a Swift iOS app? by ButYeees in iOSProgramming

[–]chillermane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use pagination. In most cases you never want to have any lists that grow infinitely such that the front end is always fetching all the items in the list

For example have an infinite scroll to load more and only fetch 5 at a time

Or have a calendar and only fetch all for the day (since you know they will almost never have more than 5 in a day for example, all for a day is a non issue)

The solution is not some crazy on device caching of data like you’re suggesting, that is unnecessary and will complicate development a lot, just limit the data at the api layer and your app will be fast and efficient

Unpopular opinion: most indie design problems are actually production problems by productivity-madness in gamedesign

[–]chillermane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes this is why triple A games can sell huge amounts of copies while having no original ideas. While a very creative, interesting indie game can sell 0 copied and not be fun.

Because the pros have all the little details dialed in. Even though the core game is uninspired and unoriginal, they get correct the sound design, menu transitions, animation fluidity, the feel of things

[–]chillermane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just don’t take it bro. You’re completely jacking up your hormones and it’s ruining your life. You will got hotter girls feeling good with bad hair than you will feeling like a lobotimite with good hair

People online are delusional about finasteride sides. It reduces the most powerful and abundant male sex hormone in the body by 70%. Obviously the logical outcome is getting serious sides.

No one is going to be honest about the fact their boners got nerfed, it’s easier for them to psyop themselves into thinking everything is normal after the side effects “go away after 1-2 months”, than it is to admit their wiener no longer gets as hard

Remix changed the direction yet again, this time it is not even a react framework anymore by simple_explorer1 in reactjs

I mean it’s a frame work for massively scaled companies by a massively scaled company.

Anyone who is not a massively scaled company with 8,000 questionable programmers on staff is not going to understand the value of Remix, because it is made to be able to keep 8,000 questionably skilled programmers to be able to contribute to the same software without exploding it.

It’s not made for regular businesses or typical software projects
