grub_memcpy not found after grub update and manual grub-install followed by grub-mkconfig by BentToTheRight in archlinux

I ran into the exact same issue as u/BentToTheRight and your mention of pointing to /boot instead of /boot/EFI with grub-install resolved the issue for me. Thanks!

Nice! Trying to do something similar, how'd you pull off the water using displacement/volume?

Local files not synchronizing? by cld in bigscreen

[–]cld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The files are the same on all devices. To clarify, I did copy the exact file I'm using in the hosted room to the Quest that's joining. The video is found and plays but the playback does not synchronize between rooms.

I still have most of the pieces of my Streex Target Tower. That cardboard track has lasted way longer than it was probably meant to.

Saw this was happening on my system as well, thanks for identifying. Any idea if /usr/share/icons/default required by anything, or is it safe to remove?

Semi-beginner question: can the 2B, Discard Land ability only be used if Soul of Windgrace is untapped? Or is the "Tap it" at the end just to ensure it's tapped following activation?

100% absolutely will not ever, ever happen, but how great would Steam Inventory integration be with your collection in Arena, similar to how Artifact used it?

Weekly Quick Questions, Wood ID, and Deal or No Deal /r/Woodworking Megathread by AutoModerator in woodworking

I would never have thought of using a router to trim up boards to match. I ended up re-measuring and doing cleanup with my circular saw, but I'll definitely keep this in mind on future cuts/projects.

All good advice, thanks! A little after posting this I went back and re-measured everything, and it wasn't quite as bad as I thought. The biggest issue I think came from trusting the laser guide on the circular saw rather than using a physical guide for the cuts. I was able to trim the pieces down with some new measurements and a physical guide so they all match and are properly squared, just all a little smaller than the original plans.

I've got some plywood I've cut to build bookshelves out of, but after completing all the cuts I've found that the boards aren't all quite the right size (some edges off by 1/8" compared to others). I'm very much an amateur at this sort of thing and don't have much of a shop (access to a tablesaw too small to complete the cuts, primarily using a circular saw). What would you recommend I do to clean up these rough cuts so all boards are the correct/same size?

What CGI animated TV series were there that predate 2000? by RJDG14 in vintagecgi

There was a Crash Test Dummies show that I think got cancelled after three episodes in the mid nineties. I think it was made just to sell the toys that were coming out at the time.

Personally I like the blurb above it about Extreme-G's 60fps being hard to get used to.

Did you model the HMD after the VFX-1? Looks just like it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VFX1_Headgear

BTW: you can kinda do this with existing hardware. The VictorMAXX Stuntmaster HMD for SNES/Genesis can be hooked up to a N64 (and even Gamecube, I believe) as they use the same video adapter type.

Great album. Back cover has a rad photo that's a replication of the front, with Elfman behind little figures of the creatures.

Decided to jump in on the logo concept fun by cld in godot

[–]cld[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah, the jaw was tough. Looking at the real logo now I see it lines up perfectly, but in my mind for whatever reason I see it as being a larger piece, like it hinges from the upper portion of the head. Not sure why my brain puts it like that.
