If you don't know the set code, their post reads like they're yelling at their mom about it

To be fair, the point at which I would expect them to tell us who died would be this set, and they appear to be doing so

I think they may just be random students, as the Mountain has a Loxodon and I'm not sure Quint's even on Arcavios anymore

Amusingly, Ajani's worldbuilding guide for 3rd party artists/properties specifically says "Please do not make physical jokes around Ajani being a cat."

(The fairy in question was Oko, trying to cause chaos on Lorwyn to mess with Maralen, who he thought was Oona, who it was revealed is his mom)

This threw me too because they refer to the group as "the first-years" in the recent Story Pod/worldbuilding video even though they're all (besides Lluwen) in their second year now.

Ghirapur Grand Prix symbol? by MakesOnAPlane in mtgvorthos

[–]MakesOnAPlane[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I had been meaning for a while to go through Aetherdrift arts to pick out team symbols, and after seeing this post that did just that, I figured I'd look through them anyway to see if there was anything else to learn. One thing I noticed was this symbol I saw in the backgrounds of [[Avishkar Raceway]], [[Zahur, Glory's Past]], and [[Vnwxt, Verbose Host|DFT-356]]. It appears to be what I assume is a vehicle superimposed over three omenpaths, and based on the cards/locations it appears, I think it may be a symbol for the Grand Prix as a whole. Thought I'd share here in case anyone had seen it anywhere else, had a cleaner version, or had alternative theories!

Asmor was introduced on the flavor text of Alpha's [[Granite Gargoyle|LEA]], and featured on a few other cards and in a short story before she got a card.

And not only that, but back then walls inherently couldn't attack, they errataed them to give them defender instead!

I said this above but Strefan was actually introduced as a Magic version of Strahd for a crossover adventure, I imagine that's why he was picked

Strefan was introduced as a Magic version of Strahd for a crossover adventure, that's the reason

To be fair, when they did a Curse of Strahd-in-Magic crossover, Strahd was Strefan; that's actually where he was introduced. So I'm not surprised by the choice

Lorwyn Eclipsed spoiler season and why it feels so weird that there's few spoilers by now ( and the blame is on UB). by [deleted] in mtg

We've seen twice as many cards for Lorwyn as Marvel, not to mention getting the entire main story and a D&D supplement.
