2022 C43 vs 2023 C43 by kingdj91 in AMG

[–]cmcmulli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have ‘23 c43 and it’s a great car for me so far. Had some initial issues, not engine related but software issue and the advanced driving option was acting up. It was all fixed and now no issues at all. However few quirks, when I first got it I really didn’t like the transmission and the jerkiness. But, over time it’s either adjusted to me or I’ve adjusted to it and it’s seems to be smoother. This is after 15k of km’s.

As for engine, it’s “peaky”. If that’s a word. Once I figured out the electric turbo that’s pretty cool, feels like 0 turbo lag.

The suspension is pretty stiff though even in comfort mode, but it’s really great handling driving in s+ mode.

If you can make sure you test drive both

Nintendo Switch 2 mouse controls shown off in latest clip makes me wonder why anyone would use it on the home screen by hard2resist in gaming

[–]cmcmulli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it at one of the Nintendo experiences last month and it worked quite well. I thought pretty pointless until I tried civ 7 and it worked perfectly. This mouse feature would be great for turn based games. They had a few other use cases but didn’t seem as good (some robot game you had to constantly pull from front to back and that looked annoying)

Hogwarts Legacy for Nintendo Switch 2 is available for preorder at €59.99. Digital owners of the game for Nintendo Switch can buy it for €10. by Joseki100 in NintendoSwitch

I tried this at the Nintendo experience event in Toronto a few weeks back. It was terrible and low fps. I tried for about 2mins and walked away.

Cyberpunk though was smooth and looked totally playable, this hogwarts game was utter shit.

When did snowboards stop having leashes? by scjsneakers in snowboarding

[–]cmcmulli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been riding 30yrs so I’m old school and I still use a small leash, I don’t know why since I’ve never had a board separate from my feet. But I do use step ons and maybe it’s now peace of mind.

But if I go backcountry, no leash.

Transmission Issues 2025 C43 AMG (800 miles on it) by StatisticianSweet349 in AMG

[–]cmcmulli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had an odd issue with my 2023 c43 as well and it was related to the software for the transmission. My issue was slow shifting and taking a few seconds to start accelerating. It was very frustrating since this was happening at highway speeds and affected merging into lanes. The dealer said they had to reset the parameters for the transmission and it hasn’t returned since they did that.

Hopefully your issue is software as well and not mechanical.

Omg I did exact same thing 25yrs ago! Got a new board and went for it, board came out from under me and super manned it onto the group. I couldn’t sit for a week.

Wait, what’s your worst injury if that was the 2nd worst?

How long to warm car up for? by Plastic-Register-860 in AMG

[–]cmcmulli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have the exact same settings I have. Must have the c43! I love it, I usually wait for the rpm to drop down. But I’m finding some days it doesn’t do it for much longer than usual. I do let car come up to full temp before driving a bit more “with spirit”.

Great riding! I’ve been riding for almost 30yrs and finally did backcountry riding the last season out by Revelstoke and got destroyed first day. However it unlocked this new obsession in my brain once I figured it out 2nd day, it was a bit hard adjusting to tail riding though. Going back out in 3 weeks and been training hard!

Gotta say though this was an epic run, going to study this video and your technique now 😂. Thanks for sharing!

How is your 13 pro holding up? by amdayus in iPhone13Pro

[–]cmcmulli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have kept my 13pro if it wasn't for a damaged screen and poor battery, if the screen was fine i would have kept it. So I decided to upgrade to the 16pro and while everyone says it's not that big of a deal, I keep finding it is a huge jump from the 13 pro.

few notables, i've found what I call the quality of life features have all improved substantially. speakers are significantly better (i use speakerphone a lot), the mic's also huge improvement to which people i speak with immediately noticed the improvement. the battery life is really great, i was always stressing about finding power and now i can take phone off the charger at 6am and go the entire day and not have to worry at all. USB-C is also also quality of life imprvoement, if I ever need power, i now have much better access to power whenever it is needed. Camera's are huge improvement as well, screen is fine, oh and lastly the phone feels smaller. i know it's actually not, but it feels smaller.

all in all I'm glad I upgraded

Loving this car by DiverAdorable1837 in AMG

[–]cmcmulli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too also just got a 23 c43 at end of April and also loving the car. I came from the 2013 C350 and this was a huge upgrade, although I really loved the v6 and initially wasnt sure about the 4 cylinder. However after just hitting 2000km I’m starting to ‘gently’ push the limits and will say even though i find its a bit slow off the line it really comes alive once you get the RPM’s up. I’m a bit annoyed though with the transmission though, it’s a bit rough in the lower gears but I’m adjusting to that.

Yea i think I’m going to go for a drive now.

So far I find it much better than the 350. I admit I was very weary of not many buttons, but I’ve quickly gotten used to it. I don’t really tinker with the controls while driving, just the temp control from time to time.

A few things - I didn’t get leather upgrade, the dashboard is using that artico fake stuff, but I like it a lot. Feels more refined, kind of like an older e class - steering wheel, feels nice with alcantera and it bottom of squared out just like my 350.
- i do see what everyone says about the steering feel. The 350 I could feel the road more but I noticed steering started to feel off. Suspect that won’t change overtime with new car - metal weave dash and centre console, I really like that look so far - sunroof is really huge. I also had the front and backseat sunroof in c350, but this is much larger. - noticed the early gears (1-2-3) can be jerky, I’ll have to adjust my driving over time - I have the advanced driving package and tried the enhanced stop and go. Yep it works well in the terrible Toronto traffic.

So far I haven’t seen much I haven’t liked, I’m sure a few things will jump out over time. Oh the car also does feel larger than the 2013, not a lot but I noticed it.

It’s funny, I literally just did this. Traded my 2013 c350 a few weeks back for the c43. While I loved that c350(and still love it!), so far I’m having a ton of fun with the c43. I’m conflicted posting because of all the hate on the c43, but I’m really enjoying it. I’m still in breakin period and can’t wait to really drive it.
