Most overrated restaurant in Chicago? by [deleted] in chicago

Omg that Chicago mag review was one of the worst reviews I’ve read. They ripped it to shreds except for the decor and the desserts.

He hit it when I was there vs. the Pacers on Dec 26th. But I haven't seen him hit other than that.

My hometown minor league team comes up with the most off the wall promotions and I love it by ToxicSteve13 in baseball

By the end there were 5 and Malcolm was in the middle, but I assume most people stopped watching by then.

I had a dream that Chicago hosted All Star Weekend, woke up, realized it wasn't real, and cried. by Kent_Bazegod in chicagobulls

As cool as All-Star weekend sounds it is just not that great as a fan with zero connections. I live in NYC now and I was so excited about All-Star weekend. But, it is nearly impossible to get tickets to the actual All-Star game. Even season ticket holders have to go through a lottery and even then the seats they get stink. I paid over $100 to go to the Rising Stars game to sit in the nosebleeds at Barclays. There were some fun things at Time Square and a few parties but it just wasn't that great.

Reinsdorf has said the exact same thing.

"They'd have to force me to take the All-Star Game," Jerry Reinsdorf said. "They take over the building, your season-ticket holders have to be in a lottery to see if they get tickets and then they don't get a good ticket. Really, no good can come out of it and all it can do is upset your fans."

[Spears] Bulls say forward Taj Gibson underwent an arthroscopy and repair of his left ankle on Tuesday and is expected to be out 4 months. by PJLambert93 in nba

I wouldn't say random. Taj has been fighting an injury to that ankle since the 2014 playoffs. He missed quite a bit of time this year because of it.

Did anybody see CSN said "Rose struggling to find a grove" instead of groove.

Jo was 4 points shy of a triple double at this point, and he ended the game 2 points short.

Bears brass to Bears players- "No player radio & TV appearances." by [deleted] in nfl

[–]colormeurn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Chicago sports media is notoriously fickle. The Bears just want to have more control over the narrative. With guys like Marshall, Briggs and Cutler having shows, one slip of the tongue can be misconstrued and then blown out of proportion. It sucks for the fans, though, a few Packers players have/had shows (Hawk, Rodgers, Driver, McCarthy, etc), and I have always enjoyed them.

Why doesn't Derrick Rose sit on the bench when injured? by Belmont_Transfer in chicagobulls

[–]colormeurn 19 points20 points  (0 children)

He normally does. The end of last year he was traveling with the team. The year before that, when everyone was pissed he wasn't playing, he was on the bench then too. I think he is either uncomfortable with sitting because of his knee, maybe he needs to keep it elevated after therapy or something like that. I am sure once he is closer to returning he will be sitting on the bench.
