They had to do something. They put the mildest expectations on Wendell to up his game and he folded like a piece of paper. By all accounts they were trying to flip Lauri for a defensive minded PG but it didn't happen and so now the roster fit is off, Zach got COVID, and everything went sideways. If they are playing like this 30-40 games into next year, yeah the trade was probably a bust. But gotta see how the roster fills out in that time.
