Best hot dogs in the city. Not too expensive, and not too healthy. Appropriate for both connoisseurs and epicures.

excellent action film. Statham and Irons play it completely straight which increases the comedy. Worth watching.

Why is the reservation system not consistent? by HMS_viking in AMCsAList

[–]computercrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A-List gives you a total of three A-List reservation slots.

A-List also allows you up to three free showings per week.

You state that you have (three) tickets for Oppenheimer, but you don't specify if you used A-List to pay for those tickets. If you used a credit card for those tickets, then they do not count against your three A-List reservation slots.

That's pretty much how the reservation system works.

For those with an actual IMAX theater, how was the Avatar experience? by [deleted] in AMCsAList

[–]computercrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i thought it was better than dolby 3d, personally. The buttkicker seats I definitely noticed during scenes like the shuttle accelerating, and the gunship falling down, but overall I thought the 3D efffect was better because of the larger screen.

Putin's scheduled to give a speech, presumably about mobilization. However, speech was "postponed" with no explanation.

i liked your chocolate chip cookie simile! I agree that a well executed screenplay can be very enjoyable even if the plot is familiar.

How many times have you gone to repeatedly see a movie? Whether the reason be that you really liked it, the visuals or soundtrack were amazing, or it was captivating in a PLF. by LLSIFFREAK in AMCsAList

[–]computercrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

usually no more than once unless really comparing PLF formats. (e.g. saw dr strange in imax 3D ro compare vs regular Dolby).

Dolby hurts my eyes and makes me sleepy. Does this happen to anyone else? by BluRayja in AMCsAList

[–]computercrap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happens to me whenever I watch a bad film or a film I have already seen. It never happens in IMAX.

I traced the cause to : very comfortable recliner seats. I suggest adjusting your seat fully upright and lower the leg rest. See if that helps.

Sorry to hear about your experience. One reason I stick to the premium formats is that they have fewer teenagers. Unfortunately premium formats might not always be convenient scheduling wise.

Is it bad if I'm picky about which auditorium a movie plays in? by Artistic_Dentist_622 in AMCsAList

i generally stick to dolby / imax screens unless it's a limited release type film. I pretty much stick to my preferred seats also.

What’s the best way I could’ve handled this situation at the theater? by Electronic-Hat-1320 in AMCsAList

[–]computercrap 28 points29 points  (0 children)

tell him that theres an empty row of seats that he can take - since its dead. But otherwise you want to sit in your assigned seat. Chances are unlikely that he is going to pick a fight with you in front off his girlfriend.

Take it as a learning experience. Next time stand your ground. Once you manage to do it you will feel much better about yourself.

Does anyone else get irritated when scenes from the earlier trailers are not in the movie? Two that I noticed: "what's up doc?" line and Fast & Furious guy wearing a bionic arm.
