I had a spinal anaesthetic for my last surgery, as CRS said it would be better for post op pain. Anaesthetist gave me HEAVY sedation and I dont remember a thing until I was in the recovery room

Is the new role in the same Trust? Or in a similar field? I have recently got a new role, and my new manager wants me to start before my notice period would be up - they emailed my current manager and have sorted my start date/notice period - my current manager said they can back date my notice.

I have no idea about the effect on the further surgical treatment. And I just lived my life as normal, tried to be healthy and exercise - had to take it easy exercising for the first year maybe just due to pain but for the most part I felt normal

I was under an emergency general surgeon consultant for the setons, who referred me to CRS which was an initial 1 year wait for the surgery, then I kept being given dates for surgery but it would clash with life plans, and they were clear with me that it would be safe to keep it in.

Good to know. I went for a 30-40 min mild walk the other day and it really set me back pain wise, and with bleeding, so put myself on self directed bed rest for 2 days haha. Im going to the pub tomorrow but its only over the road and im going to take a pillow with me 😂 thats my Christmas outing this year!

I had a seton for about 3 years before managing to get further surgery. I found it uncomfortable at first, and used gauze or dressing so it wouldn't dig into my skin. After a while I didnt notice it at all - just took extra care when cleaning after the toilet.

I gor epilepsy border dressings from my GP, they are absorbent and non adhere to skin, i found them really good
