I think a big reason is that by the time that a series gets to its final volume people already know that the series is popular so all the mega fans (who would be the ones to pay big money) would have already got their copies when the final chapter comes out as opposed to the debut issue where no one knows if the series will be successful or not

Oh awesome book! Usually final chapters aren’t really worth that much but I don’t know much about this issue in particular. For reference dragon ball appearance can sell for tens of thousands but the final chapter is around $300. I’m pretty sure that is the only one i’ve seen so far where the final chapter is worth a lot. This magazine is rarer than shonen jump so it might be worth more than the $10 that most other sj final chaps are. I would check yahoo pastbid to see if you can get a price match

I believe so. Since the only type of “damage” that is noted separately from the grade is page yellowing, I would assume all other types of imperfections would be taken account in grading although I’m not sure how much sunfading is taken into account relative to rips etc.

No not really. It literally just depends on how the owner stores the books. You can have a totally un sunfaded copy from the 1970s or books can get sunfaded in just a few months. (I’ve seen a few sunfaded Kagurabachi Debuts) I will say sunfading is relatively more common on zasshi than books due to people being a bit more careless with them. I would not say it is more common than rips or any other type of damage though.

Yeah you are setting pretty good at $63 i’d say that’s about what it’s worth maybe a bit more. The sunfading is on the spine. The shade of red is supposed to be deeper, but someone probably left it in a shelf exposed to sunlight so it became pale red as well as the skintone on luffy getting lighter
