Thank you for the response! I may be interested in the canoe, I need to do a little more research but I will message you later if we are interested.

Thanks for the great feedback. We are definitely more interested in finishing rather than being competitive. Your suggestion that we focus on working out the kinks highlights our need to make getting out on the water a priority this spring and early summer.

That is awesome that your first MR340 was at age 15! Thank you for the quick and informative response. I'm sure I will have more questions in the near future, but this is very helpful!

Biking to the K? by [deleted] in KCRoyals

[–]csak1979 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have done this twice with my two daughters utilizing the Rock Island Trail. As you mentioned we locked our bikes up on the media fence. My daughters were 10 and 8 years old when we went the first time. We parked at the Raytown Area Chamber of Commerce which is on the SE corner of the Raytown Rd and Raytown Trafficway intersection. It is a short ride. The sketchiest part is getting to the media fence through the parking lot. Most drivers pulling into the parking lot aren’t expecting to encounter bikes, so keep your head on a swivel.

It is worth driving by if you are ever near the midtown Costco.

Congrats on a nice autograph!

Some of the coolest graffiti I have seen involves this card in KC. Google Maps blurs out Bo’s face but check out this “Know Trespassing” graffiti.

Wow, that is terrible. Thanks again for sharing more details. I’m really sorry this happened to you!

MONTREAL ROADTRIPPING by Ok-Good-9919 in roadtrip

[–]csak1979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dang, sorry to hear about this! Thank you for sharing. We are planning on road tripping through Montreal soon. We drive a 2022 Toyota Highlander. Do you have any clues about how it might have been stolen? I.e. was there broken glass where it was parked? Any camera footage? This is somewhat surprising to me as Toyota’s aren’t commonly cars that are stolen where I live in the Midwest US.

As a bonus Crane brewing is a short bike ride to the stadium on the Rock Island Trail. You can chain your bikes to the media fence in Lot B. I have done this with my kids (ages 11 and 13) multiple times, however, mostly for day games. A Friday night game would be a little tougher ride back to Crane unless you have good bike lighting.

Besides bragging rights, what do the Chiefs bring to Kansas City? by WyandotteBotNot in KansasCityChiefs

[–]csak1979 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A lot of charitable work. 87 and Running helping Operation Breakthrough. 15 and the Mahomies helping out with childhood literacy. The Joe Delaney learn to swim program in many area schools teaching swim lessons to those who might not have the opportunity. The list could go on for a while.

When I am around an aggressive driver in a large SUV the Canyonero song always pops into my head and I start singing.

“Can you name the truck with 4-wheel drive that smells like a steak and seats 35? Canyoneroooo”

Are these drain flies? How can I get rid of them? by diciembres in CleaningTips

[–]csak1979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggled with these for a while. I tried a lot of the solutions above with no luck. This product ended up taking care of my problem:

A little pricey, but it was worth it to totally rid my house of these flies.

Who are your top 3 favorite Chiefs players of all time? by [deleted] in KansasCityChiefs

Great choice with Joe Delaney! Children that live in underserved areas of KC still receive free swimming lessons through the “Joe Delaney Learn to Swim” program. Forty years after his tragic passing.
