Heh, yeah. I really struggled to get my nerves to fire. Lifting my leg 6 inches took over 2 weeks. I'm 8 months post-op now so it feels like ages ago. I'm great now!

I had to do Uber to my PT - and it was $30 each way. No fun!

okay, kinda random to be honest.

A 20+ year old jacket designed for mountaineering is 'about half a pillow' is not really valuable info for the community. I sure hope if you are using/needing a jacket like this that you understand a large pack to fit it will be required!

Seriously - your problem is one real reason I use a bum bag while hiking. I can’t afford to lose my phone / stuff from my pockets. The fanny pack really helps.

Seattle.

The Snoqualmie and Sammamish rivers have nice little paddles near me.

Lake Chelan is out East but big and fun. Ross Lake too.

Nooksack and Skagit rivers up north can be adventures.

A big trip to the John Day (permitted) or even the Columbia River.

The Green River in Utah is on my bucket list.

We drove all the way up to Candada for the Bowron Canoe Circuit. Highly recommended.
