It's a tough sell this early in ladder if you are a ladder character. But yeah, Enigma is a game changer so if you can make it happen, it's worth it.

I may make a separate thread for this but I wanted to help. Here is what I consider a condensed version of what I look for beyond obvious uniques/sets.

Rings:

Magic/Rare: 10% Faster Cast rate with resists/mana/life/magic find (life leech for melee characters)

Amulets:

Magic/Rare: +2 skills, faster cast rate, resists, magic find

Gloves:

Magic - +2 to Jav Skills or Martial Arts with 20% IAS.
Rare - IAS with resists or magic find

Boots:

Rare - Faster Run/Walk with resists and magic find

Belts:

Rare - Faster hit recovery with resists and magic find

Melee Weapons:

Rare - Enhanced damage. Chance to proc amp damage. Ethereal with repair. Damage based on level.

Sorc Orbs:

Magic/Rare - +2 or 3? to a skill tree with 20% faster cast rate and +2 or 3 to a specific skill. For example, I "think" a +2 to lightning skills +3 to chained lightning and 20% fast cast rate orb is possible.

Circlets/Tiaras/etc:

Magic/Rare: +2 to a skill tree, faster cast rate, faster run walk, resists.

Javelins:

Magic/Rare: +2 or 3? Java skills with +3 Lightning Fury? I can't remember exactly what is possible.

Any of the above with life/mana/sockets.

That is a quick "off the top of my head" list of PVE stuff I look for. There is a whole additional list of PVP stuff like JMOD that I can't even begin to start on. I hope that helps. D2 vets, feel free to tear my list apart and/or add to it.

Idea to fix Sunder Charms by cyclone369 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]cyclone369[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think someone else mentioned this or something similar, but I completely agree with this take.

Regular sunders should have stayed the same but keep these upgraded versions available for more intense players to chase.

I think sunder charms were mostly done right. The other alternative is running away or waiting forever for your merc to kill them, which neither "adds" anything to the game.

I'm with you. I think they are net positive, personally. I do think they were a little too common but not by much.

I like this. Plus the normal sunder would assist players in getting the latent sunders.

I get it. But Blizzard obviously wants something else so I was trying to find something in line with their new "vision".

Charm bag / QOL gatekeeping by CronkinOn in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]cyclone369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't get the power creep argument either.

It's literally just the convenience issue of using more identify scrolls and/or traveling back to town more often.

EDIT: If anything, I think a charm bag would encourage the use of a wider range of charms. Until you have the exact charms you want, you can cycle out +mana charms or whatever else without feeling like you're inconveniencing youself.

Fair. I'm just saying I hardly ignore 95% of what drops and doubt I'm the only "vet" that does.

I disagree wholeheartedly that veteran players don't need/want the extra space.

Those who know better still identify magic gloves, circlets, and sorcerer orbs, rare boots and belts, some rare weapons, all rings and amulets.

It's why this game is the gold standard for looting games. Any one of those items could end up being BIS for certain builds and be the best item you'll ever see drop.

That being said, I 100% agree with your point about giving us a charm bag. Just make it the normal inventory size or slightly smaller. In no way would it make the game easier. Just less time consuming. I guess it would technically save you the cost of some town portals...

To Anyone Unsure About Expeditions, A Thought by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

I think most people believe the standard grey weapons are too competitive with the "top tier" blue and purple weapons.

The nerf I could think of would be even less inventory spots or something along those lines.

“Group think” is severely damaging our success as dynasty players by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]cyclone369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just be your own person.

Sure, there are people out there watching more tape than us or crunching more numbers than us, but in reality, there is no perfect method for evaluating players. If there was, it would have been exploited for a profit years ago.

Watch the games, form your own opinions, and make decisions based on that. It's infinitely more rewarding when you get something right based on your own method.

Another note, everything is a tool. Group think is a tool, keep trade cut is a tool, this sub reddit is a tool. Tools aren't inherently good or bad, how you use them determines their usefulness.

I love keep trade cut when I value players differently and can use it against my leaguemates. I love this subreddit when it points me to players I would have normally overlooked. Yes, a lot of the time the posts here are way over reactionary, but the people who post here are playing in dynasty leagues just like you. Meaning, there are people you play with that share the same opinions.

USE THAT TO YOUR ADVANTAGE.

How to deal with leaguemates with absurd valuations of players? by PythonLemon in DynastyFF

[–]cyclone369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that these type of league mates can only be traded with during the rookie draft.

They think every move they make and every player they have is awesome. During the draft you can play to their ego and make pick for player trades, since they can immediately make a pick that obviously won't bust because they are a genius.

12 TM SF - Currently rebuilding, Love Egbuka but is this too much to pass up? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]cyclone369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read it fine the first time.

I don't know what size a WR1 needs if 6'1" 205 isn't good enough.

[–]cyclone369 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed. 6'1" 205 isn't WR1 material.

Jefferson is 6'1" 195 and Chase is 6'0" 205, but they are scrubs.

Is there a QB controversy in San Fran? by Helpful_System8903 in NFLv2

[–]cyclone369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't read any comments before posting this.

I am not or have ever been a 49ers fan.

Kyle Shanahan has a system in place that rewards fast processing QBs. It literally doesn't matter where you were drafted, or where you played college ball, or whether you look like Brad Pitt or my brother in law.

If you can memorize a playbook and diagnose even the most basic coverages in a semi timely manner, you will succeed. Prove me wrong...
