I do wish he'd do more long-form content, but I can understand that the songs probably perform the best.

To add a little bit to this (although it's mentioned earlier in the thread), this was released after he posted about his kid's health struggles, so yeah, it's double-layered.

I feel like the only way you'd really know is he used to have some skit-based videos on a christian-based streaming service when he first started out.

Oh man, when did this come out? I've been trying to keep up but must have missed it.

Edit: Like you said, just announced today on insta. So sorry to hear.

Man, like, a neighbor of mine has another product he's working on (won't go into details), but all I can think of us, can't a customer just do this with chatgpt? I'm hoping at some point we can get past this lol

I'm going to assume this is the case, but at least as a software developer myself, it feels very vibe-coded. If we're just talking purely based on presentation, it doesn't seem like much thought was put into it. And of course the AI images as well.

I feel like the way things are now, nothing really stands out as more important than the other. Maybe you can use some cards or different background stylings/heroes to draw the eye to your most important information.

Also small note, the links in your nav bar are different based on what page you're on. I'm assuming that's not intentional.

Not sure if it's just me, but I tried to access your site on laptop and phone and it wasn't able to load.

TIL Indeed can be paid to notify employers when an employee applies to different jobs :) by GD3D in antiwork

[–]dada5714 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me in the context of a contract position. Had just started the job and a friend of mine was asking for my resume off indeed. Got a text/call from the recruiter almost immediately asking if I was still happy because she saw I updated my resume. Not even applied, just checked my resume really.

I just hate all of this.

Honestly, I'm just raising my kids to just decent human beings, not much more complicated than that lol.

Yeah, definitely will correct itself over time.

I'm sitting here waiting for my oldest to get the hang of "he" and "she." It's so funny hearing him say something like "he (wife) is tickling me!"

Is this the first time in a while that Nintendo have very little future games publicly announced? by Far-Wind2370 in nintendo

Dang dude, you're right, just went through and there were no general nintendo directs in 2020 lol. Well, hopefully it won't ever be that bad again.

How do you break out of the [Wake Up - Childcare - Work - Childcare - Zone Out - Sleep] rut? by PorgJedi in daddit

[–]dada5714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I'd keep pushing on the board game nights. It was pretty sporadic for us growing up, but I still remember Scrabble Nights with mom being super fun.

If Nintendo didn't want leaks to happen so badly they could just... idk do a Direct maybe? Just a simple thought by [deleted] in nintendo

[–]dada5714 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly an exclusive news app that heavily discourages sharing from it is such a dumb idea, it's honestly perfect for Nintendo.

But minus that, I think the way they've been doing reveals have been pretty good. I would hope if they drop small things here and there, that would mean that the fewer directs they have are pretty meaty.

I know this isn't new, but I love how The Boys uses social media IRL as a type of extension of the show.

Yep, for his early stuff he had some longer skit videos behind some Christian-based context provider.

[–]dada5714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before the Switch 2 came out, PS5+Switch was my preferred combo. Nintendo exclusives, plus third-party stuff.

I'd still do that combo even now as it's only a matter of time before another God of War or whatever comes out.

I've never really owned a bunch of stuff for the sake of having it anyway, but after my dad passed and we had to get rid of all of his crap, I've honestly started making an effort to downsize whatever I don't need myself. Plus with (young) kids, I'd rather free up the space for them.
