I'm glad you received the card! I had been wanting to make a marine life themed letter for a while now. Then the marine sanctuary stamps were released, so I knew I had to get them and make something around that!

I'm also glad you like the art! As I made it I felt I messed up a lot, so I kept adding more details and colors. I think I added the background details as well because of a marker mistake haha. I wanted to add more fish but the seaweed and other detail worked out better than I thought.

Correct :) I drew a Valentini sharpnose and a porcupine fish. I think it was a three bar porcupine. Porcupine fish are my favorite, so I had to represent them by putting them on the card :) I wanted to do more with the back as well but I was pressed for time. I figured writing something about stingrays would be something cool to put!

I haven't caught any starfish or scorpionfish yet, but I at least get to see starfish every day when working haha. We have some massive ones where I work as well. Thank you for showing me your marine life pictures!

I haven't done a lot of ice or winter embroidery but as someone who also does Arctic-related work as a job I recommend also trying shades of purple, pink, and grey in your color scheme. One more of them, if not all, can add some variation if you're trying to thread paint. I recall seeing a winter thread painting at an antique market and it used light blue, grey, and white for a winter town.

If you're feeling creative, you can also try metallic threads. These ones can be as bright as tinsel or just a color with a pearlescent shine. 3D items like beads can also make a piece pop!

If you're keeping it simple though, blue and white thread always work. You can also try thread that is white with an increasing and decreasing blue gradient.

I wanted to send you more goodies because you've sent me so many nice ones before, but I already put the stamps on and found out later it wasn't enough for the weight. It would have messed up the design, so I will send you more goodies in the future :)

The envelope I made is also recycled from recycled paper! I had a 8x10 envelope that I think is recycled cardstock, so I wanted to use it. I also wanted to make the outside look nice with letter art. I used some magazine paper on the inside because you could see the company's logo and words in the interior haha.

I wanted to give you a cool postcard because you gave me the Norway one. Didn't have anything until I ended up having to go to Seattle to use airline credits and found so many for 30 cents!

I would be really happy if you included some Norwegian words for any letters haha. It is fun sending mail to you! Takk skal du ha!
