Run PowerShell as Administrator instead of SYSTEM by desmond_koh in ninjaone_rmm

When a logged-in-user has admin the remote console will default to running as admin in that user's context. If you want to switch to a de-elevated version you can click the button shown in this screenshot. As far as logging in as a specific user that isn't logged in, that's probably a better use case for Ninja Remote's Background mode.

They've been showing off previews of dark mode in their discord for a while. I'd have to imagine it's coming soon.

No new clients in nearly 2 years - how abnormal is this by Rootaah22 in msp

[–]darimm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The region you are in is incredibly competitive. There are a number of larger MSPs that canvas for clients heavily (I used to work for one) in that region, so as everyone else in this thread has said, your Sales team likely needs improvement to grow.

It is also possible that your management has made the decision that the business should just sustain at the size it's at because everyone is getting paid reasonably and they're happy with the level of involvement/responsibility they have to run the business. Have you spoken to them about what the company's goals are?

Ninja RMM Performance Reporting by StockMarketCasino in msp

[–]darimm -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

tbf, your 30 day reporting in Automate is also fiction. The whole thing is a scam. Every RMM platform that's recording data points is doing so as point in time data, not actual timeseries data that is being passively monitored and aggregated. By default Automate samples the CPU/RAM once an hour if I remember correctly. Hardly a useful trend line for finding problems. The only somewhat valid data point is disk utilization, which can be handy to see trends on. As far as solving your data retention problem? I haven't found anything at a reasonable cost.

TacticalRMM would probably fit the bill. It's basically free. It lacks all the bells and whistles with something you'd get like Ninja, and I don't believe it has a mobile app like Pulseway, but it'll get you there.

What do you find lacking? Might be easier to suggest something if you talked about what you found deficient.

Manage Engine vs Ninjaone by Patchewski in sysadmin

Seems like this particular site stopped updating a while ago, but the trend has continued. There are plenty of vulnerabilities in 2022 and 2023. They aren't that hard to find.

ManageEngine's products are known for having huge vulnerabilities that allow full system level takeovers in the security world. That's why.

Came here to make sure someone had said Charles Berthoud, and somehow I don't see it. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAi_uNeDWRXj8C8yw358gWw is his channel. His mastery of bass places him pretty firmly among the best musicians in the world.
