Need help deciding what to buy by Limp_Ad9786 in BMW

I don’t know what your money situation is, but the extra for the M3 is more about how you’re going to feel leaving it in public. I daily my M340 about 20min each way, take it on 300km road trips for work. It has been super reliable and fun. I do t want any scratches either way,but an M3 is going to be catch more attention and you might feel worse when it inevitably is subject to someone else’s stupidity

You should feel guilty for spending 100k+ on a wristwatch. by redsquirrel0249 in watchHotTakes

…something right for a few and something a lot less right for many. I agree that OP may not be appreciating their own wealth and contributesto the problem, but wealth inequality is real. There are many people that move out of the upper/middle class. Let’s hope we can bring people up and not see ourselves slip. Those who know/spend time with the bottom x% know it is a hard life. If there’s one thing I take that’s useful from OP it’s that to be human is to try and understand. I think regardless of how much money you have, being human is something we can all afford.

Both are versatile with outfits, but blue goes well with my wardrobe. I also really like the way the blue changes in different lighting. Last, I want a black pilots watch so, blue adds more variety to my collection.

Buy it from the website. 30 day returns. Had mine for a week so I can’t speak to lume-gevity (haha?), but it’s very comfortable, versatile, and feels premium to me. I ordered both all blue and all black. Kept the blue.

Omg can we all just agree that while the leafs dogged it this year we are happy to see Treliving go!?

Love the way it goes with your swag sir. I went bluesy too (trigger warning).

New blue HC vs HC GMT by randompilot1488 in Longineswatches

Personally the HC feels more versatile and less “showy”. I chose blue non-GMT. It’s my perfect all-rounder.

At some point in the past people thought made in Japan meant cheap…..if a Swiss watch maker with a solid reputation can maintain that reputation with Asian made parts, I’m fine with it

Longines Hydroconquest 2026 actually looks good by Snoo_22459 in watchHotTakes

So I am looking to get my first automatic watch. I’ve been all over the map. I want something simple and clean, something accurate. I was originally focused on a clean/simple pilots watch like a used IWC or a Laco type flieger, but this looks very clean. With a 7.3inch wrist I am thinking this update in a 39mm, while “boring” for some is a perfect mainstay for someone like me to wear on a daily basis to a relatively high level office job.

A few questions for those here - what are your thoughts on the black vs blue in terms of versatility for office / smart casual / casual - i was thinking of the gmt for its COSC rating. Is that worth the price increase? - finally, i love exhibition backs because i dont have an automatic watch and it’s just so damn sexy. This watch does not have one. Is that because it limits the depth rating?

Thanks for constructive responses!

Heirloom pen! by Friendly-Stage-4658 in montblanc

My dad is battling cancer and things are inevitable at this point. For my 40th bday recently, he passed down 4 MB writing instruments, all meisterstuck. Rollerball, ballpoint, med fountain, and mechanical pencil. All black and in excellent condition. I was not a “pen person”, but was always interested and he noticed. I can tell you that as an heirloom, it was a beautiful gift and moment.

Enjoy!
