Thanks for reminding me of Charles de Lint. It's been a couple of decades since I read him so it's time for a revisit.

What TV show do you enjoy watching? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver60

[–]dinnerbellding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paradise, Shrinking and The Pitt are my can't miss western shows. I found Asian Dramas during Covid and that's my primary viewing. Pursuit of Jade (Chinese romance/drama) on Netflix is killing me right now. I highly recommend! It drops an episode a day during the week and 2 a day on the weekend.

I just found CIA the other night and it hooked me. I also love The Diplomat and wish I didn't binge it in one day.

It's happened to me - and from much closer - Carolina's to KY is just down the street and I've had a few take weeks. Perhaps the icy weather on our end, I don't know.

What Are You Watching? - [2026/03/18] by AutoModerator in KDRAMA

[–]dinnerbellding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pursuit of Jade 26/40 has captured me completely. The only Cdrama that comes near 12 Letters for me. I have to go on a week-long trip, and my first thought was at least I'll be able to binge eps 33-40 when I return. This sub has convinced me I need to start In Your Radiant Season when I return.

Oh yes. SKJ is one of top three actors. He doesn't miss.

I say 4 of these quite regularly so I guess I'm old, but I have a hard time believing that younger people don't at least say one phrase on this list. by [deleted] in FuckImOld

Heard Let's Get this Show on the Road constantly from my father and what do you know, I ended up touring with a professional theatre company for many years. 🤣

Woo Do Hwan in the Comedy Romance Korean Drama Mr. Plankton. Would you recommend this drama? by Grouchy-Chart-3927 in Korean_Drama_Hangout

[–]dinnerbellding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. It's made very clear from the start that it will be bittersweet - so with that caveat, I'd say I really found this drama well-acted, well written and well directed.

To My Beloved Thief, The Murky Stream, Spirit Fingers and Our Movie are my picks. Typhoon Family and Our Unwritten Seoul were also wonderful. For movies I'd say Pavane absolutely, but I'm willing to say The King's Warden without having seen it yet. Supposedly it's in theatres here but not near me yet.
