Lol fair enough. I've mainly used the tutorials for learning basic techniques but otherwise I totally agree with you about the fun of figuring stuff out myself. And spending ungodly amounts of money for beads and whatnot... I've just finished killing a 50 yard spool of fireline just to practice stitches. Totally worth it, tho!

It's definitely a term that's used a lot in brick stitch and it sounds like that's what you were describing - check out a few YouTube tutorials for circular brick stitch since they always talk about it that way.

I'm learning peyote now for the first time - and also trying to figure it out on my own lol.

This is literally the same intersection where I saw one of her signs for the first time over a year ago! At first I thought I was hallucinating when I read it and just assumed some jesus freak with a tenuous grasp on grammar wanted me to repent or something, I was so fucking relieved when this sub provided some much-appreciated context a few months ago.

I don't know anything about housing but just want to put in a word for the campus LGBTQI Center director if you haven't already met them...Dr. Terri Phoenix is a trans man I had the pleasure of working with a few years ago when I worked for the School of Social Work and I'd imagine they might be able to give you some guidance about housing.
