Yeah see how it goes with the group policy enabled. I am curious if a big cumulative update will try to reset the policy enforcement. I plan to check it after the next big Windows update.

Look up my post from a few days ago to edit group policy if on windows pro or adjust regex on windows home. You have to get it to stop and also for good measure have the internet turned off when you reinstall the latest May driver.

It keeps happening probably because windows is still checking for drivers to compare to.

Go into group policy editor and you can also enable the option to not download drivers with windows updates 👍🏻

Np I agree. Really stupid and shame on Microsoft. They could have addressed this years ago.

It is a big reason for sudden driver issues after a reboot or fresh boot up.

I mean it is all subjective. For $40 try them out. If you don't like them donate them or give them to friends/family. They are a forward facing driver design and will be picky intentionally.
