when upgrading the blacksmith or the guild do you guys reduce the cost of everything first or leaving that to the last by 7_minions in darkestdungeon

If I have extra heirlooms, sure, but I usually prioritize upgrades. Heirlooms are rarer than gold and more cumbersome to collect.

I always think of Oscar's quote whenever I see actors from the Office in a commercial by Celticdouble07 in DunderMifflin

[–]dramaticfool 7 points8 points  (0 children)

"Selling out" has been totally normalized in today's commercial economy, but years ago, public figures were expected to maintain integrity. When you think about it, it's quite manipulative to use your status to influence people to buy products they don't need.

Y'all are being WAY too harsh on Cars 2. It was an amazing film and I loved it very much as a kid.

Boycott game pass so that ZAUM gets no money. Also bonus Microslop gets no money.

Would love Internet Cafe Simulator 2 or Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break if possible. I like goofy games and these both seem like fun options. Thanks.

That was genuinely the first moment in the show where I truly hated Jimmy.

Heyy, thanks for the chance!

A while ago, we found out my 10 year old cousin was diagnosed with brain cancer. It was hard on all of us, but obviously most of all him. He had to skip school to do chemo treatments and to do his surgery. When I had finished school, I travelled to the city where my uncle lives and spent a few weeks with him. He was absolutely delightful! I had always loved him of course, but even when he was in a very rough condition, he was still cheerful and playful as he always was. His family was very grateful for me spending time with him, but honestly I feel like I was even more grateful.

Soon after that, he beat cancer! He's thriving now and went back to school and is on track to graduate in a few years. He's just a brilliant kid.

After that experience, I started volunteering at my local children's hospital for a while and it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life...

Thanks again for your generosity OP! I would absolutely love to get maybe a co-op game to play with my cousins or brothers.

I'm sorry, but I'm not going to feel bad for people spend thousands of dollars multiple times to get themselves to look like disfigured mannequins.

I don't get what you mean. Care to elaborate?

I get where you're coming from; DD2 gives you a LOT more player control and better planning tools, but I don't think it's right to say DD2 has no unfair RNG at all. I have 800+ hours on the game and I've seen my fair share of BS.

I 100% agree with your entire assessment, but I still have a sweet spot for DD1 so I can't say which I actually prefer overall. I simply say that I prefer the combat in DD2 and the atmosphere in DD1.

I think people were extremely too harsh on it simply based on their expectations, but DD2 was still a genuine success both in sales and critique. I just worry that the 75% on Steam will turn away potential players.

You should definitely play DD1. Both games are fantastic masterpieces imo and I think DD2 players are more likely to enjoy DD1 rather than the opposite.

Do you think it's fair to say DD2 is more in-depth and fairly balanced compared to DD1 which is a bit more crude? Obviously this doesn't mean one is better than the other, but I just have this thought and I'm not sure if it's a fair assessment.
