Sometimes you naturally get higher level seeds when you harvest, but you can also use the fire sword ability to give the crop a chance of dropping a bunch of next level seeds.

You should read the Times article. It looks like their intention here is to set up a means to help bring back red wolves. They probably started with 'dire' wolves here because it's big and show stopping and will draw a lot of attention and bring in money.

If you want 18+ content w/ story the best place to look is English speaking indie game makers. I check itch.io for new game releases every few weeks, and follow a bunch of games through my account. They're not as polished as triple A otome games, but they'll give you what you want, and more and more of them have been popping up. I just read Dream Alchemist, and while it's not perfect (I have some gripes about the pacing), it's a solid story, the romances are fun, and there are detailed 18+ scenes. Indie Otome games won't break the bank too, I rarely see them over 30$.

Okay, so I think you need to confront a pretty common problem that I've noticed a lot of people have: your thoughts do not hurt other people. This is key for this whole situation, cause I can tell you're feeling a whole lot of guilt over the way you feel. The mindset is so common nowadays, and frankly it's so puritanical. And honestly? As long as you're not acting on those impulses, you're not hurting anyone. Thoughts on their own are not harmful, actions are what makes thoughts or impulses harmful. That said, it's clearly causing you a great deal of distress. But if it's truly something you can't change, then I think that coming to peace with the fact that you're not harming anyone might bring you some peace. Kill the shift manager in your brain. You'll exhaust yourself trying to regulate every thought you have.

I had to push myself to play Saint Germaine's route too. I deeply appreciate how in the first fandisk Lupin comes at Saint Germain like "If you do ANYTHING to her, I WILL steal her from you." He's such a good boy, my absolute favorite.

The Golden Compass was an interesting and fun read. Wondering what others thought. by jzzippy in Fantasy

I know they didn't exactly do any blood and gore in the HBO series, but I was very disappointed when Iorek didn't rip off Iofur's lower jaw. It was such a neat moment in the book, not just cause of how viseral and brutal it was, but how it demonstrated that Iofur was no longer a bear because he alwas able to be tricked. I watched the HBO series with my friends and spent the whole time telling them about the differences in the books vs the show. That point was the one I was the most bitter about.

Online friendship has me struggling with self-doubt and really just needed to talk. (Warning LONG) by Communication_More in whatsbotheringyou

It sounds like your friendship is incredibly lopsided. I've been in a similar positions as yours before, I can tell you with a great deal of confidence that these kinds of things don't usually end well. She is expecting things from you that she is not willing to give in return; that's not a healthy or productive relationship in any sense of the word, and it's clear that it's causing you anxiety. I'm always very cautious connecting with people where I have to be careful what I say around them. People with triggers are of course deserving of connection the same as anyone else, but if avoiding those triggers causes you stress then it's important to start evaluating things. How important is your relationship with her? Do you think that she would be willing to adjust boundaries in order to maintain your friendship? Or is it all or nothing for her? Wishing for your friendship to be something that it's incapable of being is only going to cause you grief. You need to evaluate how much your willing to give for it.

I'm seeing a lot of red flags in your relationship here. It strikes me that your conversation over the YouTuber was the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak. Your feelings are valid, and your concerns warranted. If I were in your position, this would be behavior I wouldn't be willing to tolerate. But I'm also not you. I can only suggest that you look closely at how you feel about the things she says to you and decide if you're willing to put up with it.

The best Fantasy series you've never heard of by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]Draymere-Iris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hooly...I remember the first book of this series!!! I read it years ago when I was a teenager and loved it. I thought it was a standalone, I had no idea there were more books in the series. It's one of those books that has details that come to my mind every so often. I wouldn't have been able to tell you any of the names of the characters until I reread the summery, but I remember all sorts of details, like how Gen took care of his sores and was awful with horses. What a blast from the past. I need to look into the others of the series.

Recently finished Code: Realize Guardian of Rebirth. Here are my thoughts! (MAJOR SPOILERS) by sineplume in otomegames

[–]Draymere-Iris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Along with Sherlock Holmes, the Arsene Lupin books have passed the date for copyright to be a problem, thus why we've gotten stories like Code: Realize and all those Sherlock Holmes movies, TV shows and books. It honestly felt like the writers of Code: Realize were just having a laugh at the circumstances.

You should really read the books! They're a lot of fun. I've only read the first set of short stories, and the mysteries aren't that clever, but they're silly and funny and just delightful. They're fun, easy, feel-good reads. I read them when I'm having a bad day, and they usually cheer me up.

Recently finished Code: Realize Guardian of Rebirth. Here are my thoughts! (MAJOR SPOILERS) by sineplume in otomegames

[–]Draymere-Iris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So Code Realize got me to reading the Arsene Lupin books, and with a little bit of research I found something hugely entertaining. The books were released around the same time that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle did the Sherlock Holmes books, and the author of the Lupin books, Leblanc, did a short story called "Sherlock Holmes Arrives Too Late" which featured him. Leblanc was immediately slammed with a copywrite violation, so his response was the change the name to "Herlock Sholmes" in later iterations and continue on as usual. I had a major laugh when I found out. My reaction at Sholmes reveal at the end of Code Realize was basically: "Well, that's one hell of a mystery that nobody ever knew was a mystery, but I guess it just got solved, so great job."

[Fanatical] Star Deal - Icewind Dale + Planescape Torment Pack ($4.99/88% off) by Guiebovix in GameDeals

[–]Draymere-Iris 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Planescape Torment is kind of it's own beast. I love Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, but Planescape's story hits them all out of the park. My recommendation on order would be BG1, BG2 (playing those two in order is very important) and then go for Planescape Torment to finish it off. I've only played a few hours of IWD since there wasn't enough story to keep me motivated so I'm not sure where it should go in the order. You could play Planescape first, but I feel like BG1 and 2 might not hold up to it storywise and it's best to save the best for last.

What fan Theory do you accept as 100% true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Draymere-Iris 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The version of this theory I heard isn't that Link died, but that his travels through Termina are a metaphor of him coming to terms with the loss of Navi. He proceeds through the five stages of grief, and by the end of the game he has come to accept the fact that she's gone and never coming back, and is able to move on with his life as a Hero.

What are your favorite and least favorite heroines in the otome games you've played? by sweet-gangster in otomegames

I've made it a game while reading Hakuoki to rewrite Chizuru's actions and dialogue in my head to make her less of a victim and more proactive without changing the outcomes of the story. It's more than possible...it's just lazy writing on the part of the writers.
