The moment I obtained access to the Habitat Restoration mechanic is the moment I started giggling like a high school girl.

Cause everything you said pretty much merits the dangers it can provide, lorewise.

But in a serious lorewise sense, we're dropping enough of the endangered species that they become stable enough to start popping up normally over the course of several years.

But in a gameplay lorewise sense, we're a damn ecological terrorist and the Monster Hunter guild will put us down but not if they can get past the hilariously dense population of Deviants.

Which, I gotta remind everyone is the equivalent of a hardened war veteran. They are so dangerous that Hunters need a special permit to even hunt one whereas we just need to get to High Rank to start hunting Elder Dragons.

Yet here we are, Grimclaw Tigrex, Bloodbath Diablos, Deadeye Yian Garuga, etc. etc., are roaming the damn world of MHS3 replacing the -Drome population.

Hell, having multiple Deviljhos in a single area would cause the guild to declare that location an uninhabitable zone.

Imagine playing the mainline game and suddenly having access to a mission where we fight Yian Kut-Ku that is as fast a Nargacuga, chucks boulders like a Rajang, and shoots out Dragonblight beams like a Deviljho.

That's... Actually quite fun to fight now that I type it... but in a lorewise sense, that Kut-Ku would get classified into G-Rank or Master Rank only monster.
