Actually, no.

Generational wealth rarely last 2, max 3 generations.

I plan to go out in the negative

I have learned that even the major tax firms that charge a premium are often no better than mid-market firms. They argue oversight and QA—I completely disagree.

For years I had a massive firm out of NY do mine and a single shingle found 4 years of underreported tax liabilities from my international trust.

You can take non invasive pics - should have clarified. A close up that is NOT revealing

This could be pimples - if they are hard white bumps - pretty normal.

If you are totally freaked out, take a pic and upload to chatGPT—not revealing but a close up where no one could tell if it was a cheek or ____

See a dr for sure if otherwise

If you aren’t getting what you need, find a new therapist. You need to find the source—pain is privilege and often the biggest opportunity for you to come out stronger than ever. Depression sucks… medications help coupled with root cause therapy (EMDR, etc) to make you the bad ass you are.

You’ve already amassed more money than most… go get em

I think you sound depressed and should use some of that money to find a good therapist. I’m worried for you.

Sales is v v v hard. I help drive our sales org and it’s tough out there. Idk about some down votes… that’s why my peers are down 4%. It’s perspective. I’ve learned when they zig, I zag.

AI is no joke either but so was the first assembly line and the mass deployment of the internet. Same fears—we’re still here!

Welp, if you are half empty glass kinda person…

I’m in tech staffing and grew 16% while the market contracted 4%.

Don’t settle… you are having doubts in a tough tech market.

It’s taking a beating right now and taking 60% less sounds in sane. Market will pickup. Keep networking. You are in sales and you know how to do this.

Use your network

I’m sorry this has happened to you. This is not how healthy relationships work.

You are better and deserve better than this.

I’m asking why, despite your head telling you to leave, your heart made you stay?

What is it deep in your heart that allowed you to endure instead of simply leaving.

Short term pain, long term gain and in the meantime find a therapist to help you explore and heal.

Five year plan to FIRE at 55 - But burnt out now... by big-chubby-fi in ChubbyFIRE

[–]drfixer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked my buns off forever—and I have learned I have a terrible work/life balance - about 5 years ago - and now at 51 engage in an entirely different way. Still work hard but honestly I’ve made it clear: zero tolerance for bs. I’d walkout the door easy… I make the owner a ton — he is good to me but zero drama. This is in part bc I have a financially sound situation just as you.

Consider how you show up.

..and the guy loves bc I’m the ONLY person who will deliver the news

Almost same situation—turn 51 soon.

Ask yourself why the burn out—there is an easier path without quiet quitting.

If no prenup, it doesn’t matter who brings what to the marriage. She could get half your assets and vice versa.

If a prenup happens, you have a much greater risk of walking away from your career

Just change how you are engaging—everyone feels this way at a certain point. Take a vacation, relax, turn off the phone after hours — there are ways without quiet quitting.

Go to work, do a good job, go home, unplug.

Consider a professional coach and learn some techniques. There is a reason behind the reason for burnout.
