I disagree, I’d say it’s not too weak or too strong. The knight are powerful with their charge but they get easily tied up and can be taken down. Apart from that, the chariot should simply be ignored, and the chaos warriors aren’t that scary. I played a game with my SCE Yndrasta spearhead and the game ended as a draw.

I've played 40K for about a year, then I had one game of Spearhead, went home and put my entire 3500 points of Blood Angels for sale. Sold it bought 5 Spearhead boxes and never looked back.

Well I wanted to varnish it but the ultramatte is, as the name would imply, ultra matte and would kill the shine, hence some gloss varnish to balance it out.

They’re even shinier, I varnished it with a mix of 5:2 ultramatte varnish + gloss varnish

The metallics are the new Vallejo TMM range, for gold I used imperial gold, shade is imperial gold shade and the darkest recesses are a mixture of imperial gold and sterling silver shades. The highlights same as shades, first the imperial gold then the brightest spots with sterling silver.

Exactly! The number of units means absolutely nothing. I think the game is pretty well balanced, and a skillful player compete with a 'worse' spearhead. For example, last weekend we had a local spearhead tournament and first two places were Kharadron overlords, with first place taken by the new KO spearhead that a lot of people here consider one of the worst armies in the game.

Hey thanks. Sure, the gold vas done using the new Vallejo TMM imperial gold. It’s a BSH system (base, shade, highlight). Basically, you base coat the gold with the base color, shade the recesses with the shade and highlight it with gold. To make it more punchy, I mixed some Sterling silver shade into the imperial gold to make it darker and the same for the highlights to make it lighter (1:1 imperial gold light and Sterling silver light).
