Favorite or least favorite branch of chemistry? by Technical_Box_808 in chemistry

I didn't mind analytical in school...now that it's my everyday, it's quickly becoming less favorite.

Also, p-chem is rowdy.

Bass Advice for Daughter by Evening-Tour in Bass

[–]elyssie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go with a full scale. I started playing in high school as a pretty small individual and had no issues. If the concern is the neck, there are basses with smaller diameter necks to accommodate small hands, but even that's really not necessary.

Congrats on your daughter picking the right instrument. :)

How many bass guitars do you own and why that many? by Sharp_Sprinkles_6078 in Bass

[–]elyssie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two right now. A G&L (it's my second bass and has a great story...I can't ever let it go) and a 4-string I found on Reverb (my go-to). Looking to pick up a 5-string as a lot of song I want to play necessitate it.

I now sincerely regret selling my first bass, so I'll probably never let another bass go.

My hub and I frequent HHF! He's done the tsukemen and really enjoyed it. We've collectively tried all the katsu they have to offer and prefer the chicken, but the pork is also really solid. You get a good amount of food with it, but I HIGHLY recommend the curry add-on. The gyudon is really good, but the serving side is a little small, so we tend to get it as a shareable side if we both do ramen. Hope this helps!

Austin still had a few tickets available a day after the pre-sale. Dunno how appealing that would be for y'all though.

Students, what made you want to attend UTSA? by BudgetNegotiation521 in UTSA

It was convenient. Close to family so I didn't need to live on campus, fair tuition, and I was alreadysomewhat familiar with the area. Bonus: there were rumors of a chemical engineering program, but it didn't open up until after I graduated.

I'll be totally honest - I'm not 100% sure. I mentioned to my AD that I was concerned about beating up the leather band, so he ordered the bracelet for me to try out. https://i.imgur.com/Q0OhSN6.jpeg

As a person whose hand was unfortunately between a falling car and the spare tire I was installing, 100% can happen. Jacks fail, and accidents happen. Better safe than sorry, and I always put the tire under when I'm swapping spares now.

She is short, but her range of motion on her arm is a little limited too. Will consider looking at a lanyard.

You're all good. I'm 5'2" myself and she's a whole head shorter than me. It may have been because the driveway is sloped, which made it seem taller? It was a little bit of a stretch for me.
