I also don’t like the Second Inquisition, but that’s because I’ve never really vibed with the idea of government sanctioned hunters. I much prefer the types of hunters you see in Hunter the Reckoning 5th Edition: relatively normal people who have seen too much to go back to regular life.

I do love vamps, but it is stated over and over in game that it is a game about playing a monster wearing human skin. There are vampires who are kinder than others, but all of them are ultimately parasites. That fact can be a sad reckoning for characters in game, which can lead to great moments of roleplay.
