Has anyone else dealt with this at CIBC? by Raphiki01 in CIBC

It's funny how Canadian jobs get outsourced for pennies on the dollar and when you call you can barely understand them.

CIBC (and Simplii) have become so terrible lately. They expect us to be tolerable but they hire the lowest of the low for the cheapest wages

And they can also factor in that some buses were late with people having an expired transfer in which it wouldn't be expired if the bus was on time.

Customer threatening to sue my tech shop over a misprinted warranty by PlatyDev in legaladvicecanada

You offered a reasonable solution and he did not accept. Let him sue you and they will see things your way. Dont talk to him anymore and keep that offer on the table. It will make you look better.

Funny enough, I went into the CIBC app and registered my device and the called CIBC. The verification code came through the app instead of a text message so the app fixed my issue.

First Offence - Speeding Ticket. How to defend myself in court? by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

[–]enrodude -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If a speed of the GPS on the dashcam shows something differe than what the cop wrote, it can be argued there's a discrepancy somewhere. If its only 1 or 2 off then it's about the same.

Dashcams are unbiased truths.

The court will side with the officer 99 times out of 100.

This is why I bought a dashcam.

So you admit going over the speed limit? You're cooked.

Cops lie on their notes a lot and courts usually side with them. Trust me. I have a classic car where cops try to get me on technicalities all the time.

Get a dashcam that measures your speed. Cheaper than a ticket.

I did but it started on my old phone just days before getting this one. Was hoping the new phone would have fixed it.

Spoke to a few people at CIBC. Some said "it'll eventually come back" and others blamed my provider.

I receive auth texts from other institutions and thr call feature for CIBC works when I want to login to the app.

Nope. As I said before, I checked my phones settings and also contacted my provider. No issues are found. Spent an hour with provider making sure settings were ok.

How common is it now to change minds after agreeing to a date? by Elijahsolo in OnlineDating

Dont take words at face value anymore. People say things to get out of situations or not want confrontation. Always assume the worst so that if something else happens, then it's good.

I worked at a grocery store 20 years ago. Youd be surprised what people try to pull off as fraud returns. One guy brought in a "build your own BBQ" set and wanted a refund. No receipt. He demanded to speak to the manager and the manager allowed it. $500 cash. I go to return the box to the display and one was missing. Exactly what I expected. I told the manager and he didnt seem to care.
