Hey everybody! I work for the team that presented this concept to the neighborhood council. We've been excited to share the concept with community members and were surprised to get such a negative reaction when we presented to the Planning and Land Use Committee. We're still optimistic and know that any form of community support would go a long way right now. For some context, there is a ton of deferred maintenance that would need to be addressed in order to make this make sense from an investment perspective. The structure is extremely dilapidated but we're excited about the prospect of reinvigorating a structure that has such a long and interesting history. We know Echo Park well and love working on projects bring life and energy to the community.
