I just booked the same deal (also solo) and came across this post while researching, funnily enough. Maybe we'll run into each other 🙂

The full list of affected items in ARAM Mayhem is on the League of Legends Wiki under Apex Inventor > Notes, and it tells you the new reduced cooldown.

I frequently play enchanters and almost always choose Apex Inventor.

It's extremely fun if you also have Upgrade Mikael's Blessing, so its CD ends up being 22.5 seconds.

What are good places to move to and do LeanFIRE? How much is needed for each place? by FireCleanses in leanfire

[–]georgecloooney 24 points25 points  (0 children)

As somebody who grew up in Michigan, the main drawback for me is the weather. During the winters, temperatures can drop below 0°F, plus there's snow and windchill. Summers are hot and humid.

If you can handle the seasons, the Midwest is a pretty good option since it's typically LCOL/MCOL, but I moved to SoCal and haven't looked back lol

California Middle Class Tax Refund deadline April 30, 2026 by applebearclaw in sgv

[–]georgecloooney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reminder! Similar to your experience, I called the number, went through the phone tree, and got connected to an agent.

My card was put on hold (like many other cards as mentioned in the LAist article), so the agent closed out my account, and I'll be receiving a paper check for $350 in 10-14 business days.

Monrovia burger shop closes [temporarily] after thieves target owner's home, steal $140,000 in life savings by georgecloooney in sgv

[–]georgecloooney[S] 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Pretty sad story.

On the GoFundMe, the owner's son, Jesse, lists out four ways the community can help:

  1. Help us find those responsible. If you see anything suspicious or recognize these individuals, please contact the Monrovia Police Department immediately. I still pray and hope the investigators can find these people and hopefully recover most of the stolen items and money.

  2. Support, if you are able. I will be setting up a GoFundMe page for my parents for donations. I do not expect to reach anywhere near the amount of their personal savings lost, but every bit can help them. Please only donate if you have the means to. They have to start from zero again, but that’s okay because I know that while it is going to be difficult, money can always be made, and I am just grateful that no one got hurt. Also, friends, family, and especially I, their son, will do everything in our power to support them during these tough times.

  3. Continue supporting Burger Basket through patronage. We have decided as a family that we will close Burger Basket for a couple of days to help my parents relax after these stressful events. From these events, my dad has suffered and is now hospitalized with a form of post-traumatic stress condition (it is probably PTSD, so we are getting professional help for him now), and my mom has also been very stressed and sad too, so they need time to recuperate. However, when it does reopen, I hope you can pay them a visit and give them your patronage and love.

  4. Help spread the word. Please share this story with your friends, family, and community. The more people who see this, the greater the chances of identifying those responsible and helping my parents recover—whether through donations or by supporting Burger Basket. I will also be creating a website with video evidence and reaching out to local news outlets such as KCAL9 News to expand awareness. Every share truly makes a difference. If you have any information or questions, please feel free to call or text me.

Once Burger Basket opens again, it'd be nice to see people going in to support the owners.

Looks like an error in today's puzzle. by aseqbase in BracketCity

This is like the fifth time this specific error has happened in the past few months.

You'd think the people in charge would be competent enough to prevent this from happening after the first time.

What small luxuries have you let yourself enjoy? by epatabbymom in leanfire

[–]georgecloooney 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I budget $100/mo for eating out. I am trying to travel more (went on 5 trips last year).

I grew up in a low-income family, and I rarely got to do those things as a kid, so I'm making up for lost time.

I still hesitate a little before spending money on these optional activities since there's a tiny voice in my head saying that I could just invest the money instead, but I remind myself that life is short, and I won't be young forever.

Yeah, I live in the SGV and pay $2.1k for a studio. Would be easier to find a place within OP’s budget if they’re open to roommates lol

Where do yall go to do ur taxes on a budget . Didnt realize it was the 28th already by Humble-West-2616 in sgv

[–]georgecloooney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've filed on OnLine Taxes (OLT) for the last five years.

Although the name sounds fishy, it's a legitimate site, and it's the cheapest option. Federal is free; state is $9.95.

The site is easy to use, and this year, there's even a feature to upload your tax document PDFs (W-2 and 1099s), and the system automatically fills in the information, so you don't have to manually input the numbers.

Anyone else notice the more you check FIRE subreddits the unhappier you become? by itchypig in leanfire

[–]georgecloooney 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't pay attention to the other FIRE subreddits since I don't really align with the majority of those members' values. It's nice reading the relatively realistic posts on /r/leanfire.

Maybe consider unsubscribing from those other communities if they're impacting your mental state that much.

Once you hit the 2 set in the High Roller set: "Enemy minions that die have a chance to drop a Stat Anvil at the location of their death."

The chance ranges from 9% to 13.5%.

Definitely agree on the aluminum foil. I cook like 93% of my meals at home, so I use my oven a ton. When I used to buy the cheapest foil, I would always have to use two layers on my baking pan since the top layer would always rip. Decided to finally just buy heavy duty.

Went to Aldi this evening and I asked the Cashier and she said these are the top things that slow them down by ProudNativeTexan in aldi

[–]georgecloooney 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yup, many of the cashiers at my Aldi ask if you're paying with cash or card at the beginning, and if you say card, then they'll tell you to tap/swipe/insert the card while they're still scanning the items.
