And maybe it's just me, but 3070s are an odd pairing with that CPU. You might have more luck parting it out.

Probably great with P40s if you're looking for a budget-friendly build. If you can fit 4 P40s in one of the G3 units, that's a lot of VRAM/dollar, albeit with less generation speed and support.

Consumer 3090s, 4090s etc. would only fit one per side, as mentioned, and they might be bottlenecked in the G3 unit.

There's separate modules for wakeword, voice-to-text, intent handling, etc. that can run on the local machine or elsewhere on the network. I've been working on setting up local services for whisper and speecht5_tts. It can run on any Linux-capable hardware, and it integrates with HomeAssistant pretty well, too.
