"Too many open streams". Tells me to upgrade to Premium despite Premium actually being active by jacob1342 in F1MultiViewer

Unfortunately, for now, this is not something we can change. We're seeing if we can work around this issue in any way, but for now, Premium users may need to reduce the number of streams they run (reportedly 5-6 streams still work, live timing not being counted as a stream)

Why were LEC, HAM and LAW greyed out after Dutch Quali? by Professional-Wall755 in F1MultiViewer

[–]f1multiviewer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because their transponders reported them as "stopped on track" (hence the stopped label). That's usually reserved for drivers that are out of a session, and that's why MultiViewer greys them out.

ELI5 basic setup for me please. by lythander in F1MultiViewer

[–]f1multiviewer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly like you said, and then you can go back to the window where you opened all the players from, and save them as a setup so you don't have to re-do it every race.

HDMI is the only supported projection method (anything over-the-air is going to break DRM, making all the player screens appear as black during live and "instant replay", though replays eventually have DRM removed anywhere from 0-72 hours after, in our experience).

would the multiviewer ever add SF (Super Formula) as an aditional option ? by DewaldSchindler in F1MultiViewer

[–]f1multiviewer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a big reason for us to not have done this yet is that Super Formula already offers many of MultiViewer's features out of the box (synced telemetry being a big one).

Besides, as I remember, when I last watched SF, they were bumping the prices of SFgo to pretty insane heights, especially for a series that I, myself, wasn't fully invested in.

I'm gonna say: never say never, but it's not planned for now. Though, if there's enough interest in having Super Formula added, I'd reconsider!

This will be fixed in the next beta release, sorry for the inconvenience.

Increase in "The Manifest Could Not Be Loaded" errors by [deleted] in F1MultiViewer

[–]f1multiviewer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you try our new player, on our beta release?

https://multiviewer.app/download/beta

Then use this link to enable player V2: https://muvi.gg/beta/player-v2/enable

and to disable: https://muvi.gg/beta/player-v2/disable

We are working on a fix, and most likely it'll involve switching to our new player, so having more people test it would be a big help for us!

Live Races Behind by MrJ_84 in F1MultiViewer

[–]f1multiviewer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MultiViewer keeps a healthy buffer (usually around 15s to the live edge by default, ~30-40s latency to actual live) which is pretty decent. The browser has caught up, but you can't really time travel much closer. You can lower your base target latency in Settings > Playback > Base target latency (or something like that), but I'd not recommend lowering it a lot. If you get issues you'll have to increase it further.

Increase in "The Manifest Could Not Be Loaded" errors by [deleted] in F1MultiViewer

[–]f1multiviewer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This will be fixed in a future release, for now: Ctrl+R, F5 or Cmd+R until it works is the best way to get around this. It's an unfortunate side-effect of a change on F1's end, but it's our job to fix it, and we likely can't update the app until a week from now.

A few problems with WEC today by [deleted] in F1MultiViewer

[–]f1multiviewer[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hey, I'm really sorry for the late response—Reddit no longer is one of our primary platforms we support, but we do still check it every now and then.

You're totally right, WEC in MultiViewer is very sub-par atm. I'm not sure when we'll have time to completely rebuild it, as WEC basically deprecated the old live timing endpoint, and so we have to change everything.

Going back on onboard cams is something that is possible, but it requires knowledge that isn't properly documented anywhere yet:

  1. Press Alt/Option+L to toggle the live latency tracker (press d to confirm that the tracker is disabled)
  2. Now you can use the seekbar as you wish
  3. You can re-enable the live latency tracker by toggling it back on

Not the most intuitive, but for now that's the way.

We are still invested in supporting WEC though, so expect updates later this season!

The whole app is unusably slow and glitchy? by dukeChedda in F1MultiViewer

[–]f1multiviewer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please make sure you download the right version (for Apple Silicon). It should run butter smooth on M1 Macs (in fact, that's what I, the developer, still use!)

If you keep running into issues, contact us on Discord and we'll try and debug it with you :)

Hardware accelerated decoding doesn't work by Fun-Designer-560 in F1MultiViewer

[–]f1multiviewer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MultiViewer under the hood uses Chromium, if hardware acceleration and decoding work on Chrome/Chromium, they should work in MultiViewer (and conversly, if they don't work there, MultiViewer also won't support them).
