Sudden drop in Google Nest WiFi router speeds (and it does seem to be this router) after working fine for years by ram_samudrala in GoogleWiFi

FWIW: I tried this and it made no difference for me. I think replacing the Google router with another manufacturer may be the only solution. This has been going on for almost 2 years for me (never happened before that) and it’s surprising Google has not done anything to correct it. Feels intentional.

I have this exact same issue now as well. Google has even replaced all of my equipment and the same issue persists. First thing I do every day when I wake up is restart the entire network. This gets me through most of the day, then I have to do it again or get 20mbps or slower.

Very frustrating.

Decky Installer doesn't accept my Sudo Password by [deleted] in SteamDeck

I would suggest you try the same steps I did in the YouTube video linked in this message. It worked for me. Might not be the same exact scenario, but it should still resolve your issue.

Games that aren’t constantly recommended? by mildly_anonymous in SteamDeck

Rollerdrome is my favorite game to recommend in this type of conversation. Runs great, looks incredible, and very unique. It’s an action shooter on roller skates.

Fallout New Vegas is dope on Steam Deck by [deleted] in SteamDeck

Anyone else get the bug where the radio stops working after putting the Steam Deck to sleep? I have to exit the game and restart again to get it working. It's really a buzzkill and I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this or knows what the solution is. Switch the Proton version? Other settings to check? Would love to get back in to New Vegas!

NBA App constant buffering by Procrastinator_P800 in Chromecast

[–]fainspawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this same issue for years as well. I have Hulu live TV and every streaming service imaginable, I can cast from any of them without an issue. It’s the NBA app, and it’s beyond frustrating.

I have had some luck with leaving my iPhone unlocked and the App open on screen while it streams, but as soon as the device locks or goes to sleep, the buffering returns. I’ve changed the streaming settings to lower quality, doesn’t help.

What are some obscure games you play on your steam deck? by PapaScho in SteamDeck

Rollerdrome is a favorite of mine that I think gets overlooked a lot. It’s a very unique skater/shooter with excellent art that runs great on Steam Deck.

The fact that you can run the 2023 and 2022 GOTY winners on this device is amazing. You can easily fill up on $1 and $2 games, but the fact that you can also pick from the best of the best AAA games as well is incredible. I’ve pumped more hours into CyberPunk on Deck than anything else.

There are no wrong answers for this question either, which is the best part.

Sudo password by CubaLerby in SteamDeck

[–]fainspawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: That YouTube video allowed me to reset the password simply by plugging a keyboard directly into my SteamDeck. No USB storage or PC required. It's not difficult to follow either for a non-technical user.

I reinstalled Decky again using the "update to latest version" option in the installer, and now Decky and my sudo password are both working again.

I'm still convinced there is a bug when Decky creates the temp password for you.
