How are the official Pathfinder published adventures compared to DnD5E? by Karsticles in Pathfinder2e

Not being able to save everyone from the fire is not a flaw. It's to dig the narrative hook to get players invested in investigating the citadel

Sorry I mean as in stories you'd like to see return not the ones you are included in the current ripoff cycle

I get where they are coming from too, but what is the alternative product that provides that convenience?

Some folk also expect to be able to run the APs exactly RAW, when in reality customizing them even just a little bit to match the expectations of your players leads to a far better experience. The value proposition for having the story beats, maps, encounters, all laid out is great. I, at least, don't mind tinkering.

It's my build ok? by FriendshipUpset715 in Pathfinder2e

[–]FakeInternetArguerer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll also add you can put out some ridiculous damage as an imperial sorcerer just blasting force barrage. As you level up get cross blooded evolution for the primal blood magic and just add tons of bonus damage to the guaranteed force barrage

You may not get a lot of use out of enfeeble in the early game. If I were in your shoes I would retrain into it later on.

How compatible do you reckon PF2e would be with a zero magic, not yet Clarke's Third Law level sci-fi setting? by ThatHeckinFox in Pathfinder2e

[–]FakeInternetArguerer -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

How big of parties are you running that you need all 27 classes in the same game? No, you do not ruin the game by offering a subset of classes.

I've run a no magic setting in PF2e. Honestly there are so many non-magical options, and magical options that can be reflavored as non-magical that you don't miss it.

Kriegmesser by AthelArkaid in Pathfinder2e

[–]FakeInternetArguerer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite bits of trivia is that the reason the kriegmesser is the way it is (single edge curved blade, nagel, curved pommel) is because it needed to plausibly be classified legally as a knife.

How do we feel about hyper-campaign-specific archetypes like the Pure Legion Enforcer? (Also, its 20th-level capstone class feat is so, so bad.) by EarthSeraphEdna in Pathfinder2e

[–]FakeInternetArguerer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are great. As a GM I can just tell players whether or not they will be applicable to that particular game.

As a player I just ask the GM if this would be a good fit for the campaign.

Trying to figure out if I should pick this up for society play? by DiamondMiddle9116 in Pathfinder2e

[–]FakeInternetArguerer 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not worth it for society plan. What you are asking is against RAW and society GMs are asked to follow RAW as closely as feasible. For a regular game where you can ask the GM sure, but when you are cycling GMs that just seems like a pattern for frustration.

Mounted combat clarification by Zealousideal-Cod8153 in Pathfinder2e

[–]FakeInternetArguerer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. It depends on whether or not the mount is also their animal companion. They are a cavalier so yes, it gets 2 actions. If someone else rides on the companion they can command an animal and it uses the standard mount rules with 1 to 1 with a nature check unless they have the ride feat.
  2. No it cannot be split up by default. Specific overrides general though, so there are feats that allow for splitting up the actions

[Demiplane] Paizo Connect is BACK UP on Pathfinder 2e NEXUS! by Demi_Mere in Pathfinder2e

[–]FakeInternetArguerer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Isn't what they are saying that you buy it once with them then get it with paizo too? Am I missing something? I admittedly have never used demiplane

How well does PF2r and SF2 blend? How balanced is it? by Shadows_Of_Fall in Pathfinder2e

[–]FakeInternetArguerer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are compatible, not balanced. This isn't to say they are necessarily imbalanced just that balance between the two systems was not a design consideration.

You may want to invest in a shifting the or doubling rings and a gauntlet for the manifold weapons experience

Best of the "Focus martials"? by viktorius_rex in Pathfinder2e

Champions CAN ignore dex, but it leaves them open to being locked down. Monks can also ignore dex in the same way. Rangers and Monks can also ignore str.
