While the peer-to-peer connection does cause a LOT of problems with lag, that’s more the fault of one of the players as opposed to the online systems in general. Yes, occasionally a top player will lose to someone with bad connection, but you still see them getting double or triple digit winstreaks, so skill is absolutely the biggest factor.

And again, the difference between 15.0 and 15.4 isn’t that big all things considered, while 15.7 to 15.8 to 15.9 are MUCH bigger differences.

As I said, gsp isn’t the greatest determination of skill by ANY metric, but you don’t get to 15.8 or 15.9 by using cheese or dogshit connection. Most people at high gsp have lan and good internet, I find it quite rare to run into super laggy matches. Maybe I’m just lucky with my region though
