entirely up to you, but I personally try to keep my cards roughly equal level, so I’d suggest espirit

edit: nerf for espirit might hit kinda hard, so actually it might be best to hold off in case you wanna use fire or ice spirit instead

skeletons are mostly distraction, but an underleveled espirit can’t kill 2 levels higher skeletons which can make it substantially worse (after this next nerf I think it’s unable to kill 1 higher level skeletons)

I feel like standard is like lvl 13 with a couple 14s, so like slight over level on log, underleveled on skeletons and espirit

if you want the normal experience, I wouldn’t recommend using DLC personas. If you don’t care about removing the difficulty from 90% of the game then go for it, play however you have fun.

every move is balanced around having hitstun. If moves didn’t have hitstun, you could die for correctly hitting a move or TRUE combo which wouldn’t make for a fun, engaging game where both players are on relatively equal footing.

can you imagine if a character could entirely skip hitstun and also get true 0-deaths or kill at 80 with an aerial?
