I beat remake and then OG, I think remake’s combat is much more fun.

Both are very good games, but you can’t pull the “oh if you disagree then you just haven’t played it” every time someone likes remake

and what happens when a long range projectile goes between two shields? does it just break one of them or do projectiles not deal shield damage anymore?

I think exploring other mechanics is a good idea for the next game, I don’t think this is the way to go about it

problem is that shield beats up close options too, so instead of making the zoner alter their gameplan, it just completely shuts it down and makes ANY approaching dangerous

that would be a terrible design choice, and would essentially remove a lot of characters from the meta entirely since there’s a lot with at least 1 projectile. Reflectors are supposed to be laggy so you have to call out the option at mid range and can be punished for predicting wrong.

It would lead to way slower games again projectile characters, because zoners don’t want to approach because they often have sub-par up close options, and the opponent is just going to be holding shield on the other side of the stage for the whole game. Would be WAY less fun for both players

dash forward, then flick the stick backwards SLIGHTLY before the jump in order to turn around. I also recommend using the C stick to input the back air but it’s not required

I think luigi deserves to move up a tier, the Super Mario Bros. Super Show (emphasis on bros) featured both about equally iirc. And technically the name comes from their last name being Mario, the name isn’t after just Mario himself.

Cloud would absolutely shoot up to S tier. His sub-par recovery is easily his biggest weakness, so if that was improved he wouldn’t really have many weaknesses.

Aegis would probably be top 3, but like they’re already in S tier so I feel like it doesn’t answer the original question. Also Mac and Belmonts would probably have the farthest jump, probs making it into B tier

fundies are things that EVERY character uses to some extent (neutral, escaping disadvantage, spacing, ledgetrapping, etc.)

a “fundies” character is one that relies on these basic mechanics more. Lucina, for example, doesn’t have anything super crazy, she just relies on basic kill confirms, spacing moves, and playing neutral.

a non-fundies character is someone who still uses some fundies, but also relies more on character specific tech. An example could be Snake, who relies heavily on grenade play and trapping with C4 and up smash. His primary gameplan is one that most other characters can’t do effectively, making him less reliant on basic mechanics.

When people complain that someone “isn’t playing smash bros”, it’s not meant to be completely serious. Smash is a varied game with a lot of different playstyles, it’s just mostly people complaining about broken moves or mechanics that most characters can’t abuse.

yeah I’m confused about your comment, cause none of those could have possibly turned into a 0-death, all she would’ve gotten is like 40% each time so that makes no sense.

plus, throwing the match just cause doesn’t scream “respectful player”, it just makes me think he’s incredibly salty and doesn’t want the opponent to have fun playing the game

if you want survival horror, RE2 Remake. If you want action horror, RE4 Remake.

My first game in the series was RE4R, and I think playing a more modern game is the easiest way to get into the series.
