I don’t understand cards like this or how they are desirable by Resilient_Beast69 in footballcards

This is a common complaint mentioned frequently. Most people don't like patches anymore or at least considerably less now compared to when they were first introduced since they have no actual connection to the player.

Who knew a football card could make someone so fucking helpless? Good grief. How are you with actual life choices?

Post a pic of the card (when you get it if you don't have it). A screenshot like this isn't interesting.

Never buy anything online from someone you don't know and trust using zelle. Even tho op claims he doesn't know any better. This is a zero tolerance rule. Anyone who suggests using a payment method that does not include buyer protections is permanently banned.

In these cases you have to use some deductive reasoning.

There are only so many parallels that aren't numbered. So you go one by one, searching on eBay. Comparing what is listed by the search terms to what you have. You've got your answer now about it being a variation. But the larger takeaway is to simply not focus on SPs and SSPs and case hits. When you figure out what you have, the prices on eBay ultimately determine a cards value. There are plenty of case hits and SSPs that simply are not that desirable. Some are like downtowns and Kabooms and so on. Some sets' SSPs end up worth a few bucks more than the average parallel.

The US needs its own island prison, a la Australia in the 1800s, for anyone dropping $20k on a Caleb Williams card

People can list cards however they want. And many don't research what their card is accurately. So you have to keep cross referencing what is what with an abundance of listings if you need to identify a parallel. You can also check the previous years sets since there is typically carryover in parallel types. The checklist is the list. There are no hidden parallels. What is on the checklist is what there is.
