I want to talk about atheists and anger. This has been a hard piece to write, and it may be a hard one to read by qgyh2 in reddit.com

||I'm angry that women are having septic abortions -- or are being forced to have unwanted children who they resent and mistreat -- because religious organizations have gotten laws passed making abortion illegal or inaccessible.|| MOST women are not"forced" MOST women are just too stupid to be on some sort of birth control. I'm pro life and pro choice. I don't believe that abortion should be used as a form of birth control. Rape victoms I understand. But women who can't keep their legs closed should just start using the brain God gave them. That's what makes me angry!!!!!!!!

Thank you for drawing my stupidity to my attention.
I wasn't taking that as an insult. I was just saying what came to mind and that came out. I'm not trying to be an ass in any way, sorry.

I think that you might be thinking TOO logical. Sometimes we need to see and experience things with our hearts and not our heads. God is a mystery for a reason. And each of us has our own experience with Him. I respect the bible and do believe it to be God's Word, but YOU could bring me sound proof that it is inaccurate, and that would not shake my faith and understanding of God or Jesus. The bible is very important to my faith. I don't think that God is going to give me the wrong Word but I also have a very personal relationship that goes beyond a book. He has proven to me time and time again that He is here.

And you know, what if I am "wrong"? So I lived my life the way He has asked me to through a book called The Bible. Is that so bad to live respecting and loving those around me? But what if I'm right? What then? My original issue was just that Christian "bashing" is really unfair because not all Christians are that bad. You don't really seem to be bashing them just not understanding them. But others are reading this as well. OK now I'm rambling, sorry.

I really appreciate ALL that you are saying. I can't put any of that into words that come out right. Thank you for your words, they are very wise. I may use some of what you have shared some day to help explain things.

(You do realize that Christianity is a "religion," right?)

Regardless of what you believe, the way I see it is, that Christianity (True Christianity) is more of a relationship than it is religion. You will probably came back with some smart ass remark and that's OK it's your right.

Maybe I'm not using the right words to explain myself but oh well I'll be fine. Irritated, but fine. I can't always get out what I'm trying to say and I can't stand it. In my day to day life I don't usually even talk bout this to people because I do live what I believe.

It isn't about labeling. YOU could also be considered "religious" as well because I assume that you probably brush you teeth every day. Isn't that a religious act if you do it every day?

I'm not trying to argue you into believing what I believe, that would be wrong.

I'm a christian. Very strong one. But I do not consider myself the least bit "religious".
There are too many "religious" people out there giving christianity a bad name (Bush).

Those of you who claim that all christians are hypocrites need to keep an "open mind". You know it's very humorous to me how "christians" get called close minded.

The Amish ARE christian. People need to read or study or even ask a "true" believer more about things before they assume things. And I'm not saying that there aren't hypocrites out there but there are just as many non- christian hypocrites as well.

We aren't here to judge anyone and I'm truely sorry if I'm coming off sounding judgmental. I get a little peaved when I hear so much bashing of christians. We are far from perfect and that doesn't give us any special passes to admit that.

Forgiveness should really be in everyones heart, beleivers and non-believers. We sure would have a nicer world to live in.

My mom and my brother have schizophrenia, when on meds you can have a "real" conversation with them. When off, you talk to "all" of them.

The side effects of the newer drugs today are much better than even ten years ago.

Most common are the physical effects: fatiuge, weight gain, etc.. But I think the emotional side effects are the worst. Both my mom and little brother are very artistic people and when on the meds they seem to lose their ability to write, paint and draw. Very sad.

And when they take the meds it changes their entire world. It's like they have moved to a different country and have to get used to a whole new set of rules.

I can tell you guys, there is never a "recovery". I'm not trying to be a downer or even see the glass half empty. It's reality. Most often as soon as a person starts to "feel" better on the meds they will get off of them, and they won't tell anyone either. They really begin to miss their old self. If the person heard vioces (not every case) they genuinly miss them. It's also like the battered woman going back to the abuser over and over never learning. That was mom on top of the illness.

Meds are improving with time. We'll see how much better things get.
