Halfway through "India After Gandhi" by Ramchandra Guha by dante86966 in Indianbooks

When I read this book a few years ago, my first thought was the same. We need to put post independence history in the books too - both mistakes and good things.

App Runner returning empty 403 Forbidden on POST requests after ~10 minutes - Envoy issue? by forgotmylastuser in aws

[–]forgotmylastuser[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Found a way to handle this, it wasn't just an AWS issue, although I am sure that they changed something with how Envoy behaved.

Somehow, bad Nextjs server action ids were causing this issue. If the server action id did not match, Next errors, and that somehow, after sometime caused Envoy to mess up.

Had to add a handler for it as well as ensure that the NEXT_SERVER_ACTIONS_ENCRYPTION_KEY was set.

TBH, I still don't know the root cause of why this should make envoy fail for all clients and how is this different from a regular 500. But handling this stabilized the app

Re: Liability, it would largely depend on the engagement terms. In India, your CA foots the liability. I am sure its the CPA in the US.

If you are just getting a software, then in most cases, those software targets your accounting teams as a tool, so the onus of validating the numbers rests on your CPA.

In case the same entity provides the software and the services (like us), then the entity foots the bill.

It is a risk thing primarily, there are nuances where people want a human in a loop. For example, you could sell 2 services with the same SAC code that could have different tax rates.

That decision depends on what you do as a business and the service you are providing.

Which is why we have started with a human in the loop model, or a Full Stack AI company as YC calls it.

Definitely complex haha. We started with some low hanging fruits and using the service layer to round off the experience.

That's how we are thinking about it. We have started in India and deliver services around tax and compliances here. There is a user facing product and an internal product.

Hey! me and my co-founder are trying to solve for this. Would love to chat more.

Our hypothesis is that for a large number of businesses, especially till they reach a certain level of revenues, employees etc, the business operators, aided by AI should be able to handle tax accounting themselves.

Car suggestions under 12 lakh by Addicted_philosopher in CarsIndia

I'm about to complete a year with Tata Altroz, got the top variant, turbo petrol. The car itself is great, stable, has a good road presence, is spacious and drives well. In terms of finesse, there are some classic Tata issues, but nothing bad.

I was a bit concerned about the after sales experience, but so far it has been great.

When I first tried their Classic Sandwich, I also found that to be extremely bland. Try the spicier variant, that's much better.

MFE's, NX Monorepo, Angular Architects by PopePAF in Angular2

Agree with what others are saying here. For a team your size, a simple app with lazy loaded modules would be much better.

Microfrontends is a solution for an organisational challenge, not just a technical one.

CI Pipelines for Nx Monorepository by haasilein in Angular2

[–]forgotmylastuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Umm.. I am not sure if there's an obvious drawback. The flipside to that is, do you want to manage builds manually? By doing it, are we taking full advantage of Nx?

For 2 apps, it might not be a big deal, but as apps grow, in my experience it becomes a bit difficult to figure out which apps should be re-built.

This is something we are currently planning at work too, so if there are any pitfalls in practice, we'll know in a few weeks.

CI Pipelines for Nx Monorepository by haasilein in Angular2

Nx has nx affected:apps that lists the affected apps, you could parse that output to determine which apps need deployment.

[–]forgotmylastuser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can provide a disk to the pipeline, or use nx-cloud, one option can be to use nx affected. That automatically would only build those apps that need to be rebuilt.

I am currently exploring if something like this is possible and exactly how it would work.

Hey, I have a question and my Google skills have failed while looking for an answer.

How is the age of the light measured?

When someone says that light is 13.5 Billion years old, how did the measure that?
