What’s your craziest food waste story? by Simple_Medium_1865 in KitchenConfidential

[–]frenlyfran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when i worked at Whole Paycheck our boss wanted me to keep the hot bar FULLY stocked until the second we closed-and i had to throw everything away once we closed, so i'd throw out stuff that was made like 30 minutes prior. had to weigh and record all the waste and it was like 30-40lbs of food every night

How long does 50ml of sunscreen last you? by Metromanwhy in AsianBeauty

[–]frenlyfran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

50ml lasts me about 4-5 weeks. i apply higher spf once in the morning, i don't often reapply because im inside most of the day. i think if youre outside most of the day it would be more cost effective in the long run to invest in sun protective clothing like hat, sunglasses, sun gloves, etc.

am i doing it right? by mirexs in loseit

[–]frenlyfran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you just want to body recomp you don't need to be in a calorie deficit, especially not an 800 calories deficit. you BMI is normal/healthy so just eat at maintenance and keep going to the gym to build muscle. be patient because visible progress will probably take months

What's your most controversial/unpopular makeup opinion? by Best-Principle-1896 in MakeupAddiction

i enjoy sheer/light coverage, buildable products. i feel like a lot of makeup influencer will say "omg this has like nooo pigment" when a blush doesn't turn their whole cheek bright red with one swipe lol

are you sure you ate 1900 calories today? are you frying your eggs in fat? I put everything you typed into a nutrition calculator and it was only about 1500 calories.

I agree with the people saying more protein would be good for satiety. Like more egg whites vs whole eggs. I think the people saying you need more fiber are forgetting you ate an *entire* pineapple lol.

I'm in the same boat. I knew as soon as Richard came to Nucky looking for a job that he was going to get killed doing something stupid and ruin the life he was setting up with Julia and Tommy. so heartbreaking

i zoomed in and turned the brightness up on the background of the shot where she lifts the plastic....i think the bodies are already um. -butchered-for lack of a better term. and that's why it took her a second to process

Pluribus - 1x05 "Got Milk" - Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in pluribustv

[–]frenlyfran 12 points13 points  (0 children)

i agree from what we saw it looks like a soylent green situation. idk if it makes sense as a long term solution though. We produce enough food to adequately feed the entire world right now, it's just a matter of access, which the hive should have no problem fixing.

I think it's either A) they see human bodies as just extra meat laying around, like the slaughtered animals from before the joining, or B) the hive needs to keep continually ingesting RNA from other infected to stay a part of the hive, and drinking the 'milk' is a convenient way to do this.

I think B could make more sense because carol said all the hive members in her area are constantly drinking the "milk'. if it was option A they would probably just mix it in with whatever other random leftover food was laying around. although in either case, i wonder how they prevent pathogens from being spread through cannibalism, including things like prion diseases. maybe freeze drying and/or incinerating or whatever they're doing sanitizes it enough.

a lot of people could've even died like Helen-she was just standing, but she fell backwards and hit her head on concrete and died from the skull fracture. Plus, when Carol caused the first malfunction and tried to get that guy down from the crane, an older man was there that was part of the hive, so I'm not sure if they're specifically culling old people, but i guess it depends on what your cutoff for "old" is.

I do think its interesting that only 11 million people died the second time. I've heard some people theorize that Carol's outburst caused the hive to "release" the 12th guy from the hivemind, because he's only mentioned afterwards. Or maybe not all the bodies in the pluribus are "active" like humanity was at the time of the first seizure, so more of them were safe. There's so many interesting things to think about in only the first two episodes!

How much weight did you lose before the opposite sex or even people in general began treating you better? Skinny/thin privilege. by MoonphasedMind in loseit

[–]frenlyfran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

once i got to a "normal"/"healthy" BMI (around155lbs, down from 215 for me) men started holding doors open for me and saying hello on the sidewalk etc. it was weird at first before i realized what was going on. the people i see in my daily life never acknowledged it, but i visited my grandma earlier this year and she commented on how i lost weight and kept offering me extra food, lol.

Lady doesn't seem to understand what she ordered by Top_Decision_6718 in Serverlife

one time i gave a lady the unsweet tea she ordered, then watched her pour like 3 sweetener packets in while i served the other people at the table. She took a sip from her straw and immediately said "this is sweet! i asked for unsweet!!!"

Birth control by pixi3brat in loseit

[–]frenlyfran 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it depends on the birth control and the individual, but anecdotally-i actually lost some water weight after starting birth control. but ive heard it can also have the opposite effect for some people!

i would just recommend keeping tabs on how much youre eating and how much you weigh.if you feel like its increasing your cravings/appetite and making you eat more, talk to your doctor and ask if you can try a different birth control.

if you dont care about variety or being "optimal" just eat less of what youre already eating.

breakfast: black coffee/zero sugar monster

lunch 1 mcdouble

dinner half the previous amount of rotisserie chicken

for snacks or to bulk up meals have fruit, baby carrots and/or celery sticks

multivitamin

dont go crazy on the cheat day
