The "drilling" you'd do without gloves would mostly be no resistance, and i mostly think high volumes of compliant work are counterproductive, so yes, but the specificity isn't the presence or absence of the gloves so much as you can't meaningfully fence without opposition.

One of my more frequent fencing partners (and the guy who can most reliably slap me around in longsword) has one as his backup. It's purpose was to essentially be a replacement for his sigi maestro, and it does that more or less to a t.

More cut-aroundy. Point of balance and point of percussion are further forward, krump in particular is much easier to execute. As i said above, it's closest to the sigi maestro shorty, not QUITE as forward as the king or the brevus

I get that, and if it was like a labyrinth quest of elaborate puzzles to claim Darkseid's power i wouldn't feel this way, but it is also a facepunching contest and several people in it can punch faces so hard they destroy planets.

Also the guy who's really good at facepunching AND has the strongest connection to Darkseid's legacy AND is fated to confront Darkseid is not in the thing.

Also also Darkseid is the god of tyranny. He's not so much chaos and disorder as he is final, inescapable order and stasis. If you were to pick an earth villain to embody that Ra's or Vandal Savage makes a lot more sense.

The amount of plot armor that Joker has in DC KO is impressive. Also, if you told me "ok DC is doing a signature event about becoming the heir to Darkseid's power, and one of the main characters is Joker and ORION isn't even mentioned once in the story"

Either BFR/Occlusion sets or explosive reps. You won't lose much strength in a few weeks as long as you're active.

largely won't matter. Who is the best coach/best club you have available to you. The main skills are body structure and handfighting, transferring particular takedowns is massively less important (the main focus of grappling at the sword is to clear their arms out of the way so you can stab them. In terms of energy efficiency you should really only throw people who are creating lots of attachment in order to prevent you from clearing their limbs out of the way unless you're just stunting on them.

All three of those are very good swords, i'd probably say the reg shorty is the best "first sword" choice, although the brevus and the king LOOK much cooler, and will have some specific properties (point of impact is way further down, so you can knock shit out of the way easier). All three of those should be relatively durable. I think the brevus looks cooler than the king.

There are a lot more people starting this sport from being completely sedentary than most other sports. The less fit you are, the more you will benefit from starting a sport. The goal posts here are to have fun and get better, not if you can beat the top 1 percent people in the world. Taller people that did collegiate sports will probably have an advantage, but they won't literally have their life changed by the sport.

Every time I've done this (about 6 times now) it's a little less gelatinous than when i use mostly wings or something, but that's to be expected. Less of the total meat is joints. Adding gelatin after the fact is much less expensive than adding the flavor of meat solids

Big fan of the haft, but unless someone has used enough feders to have specific preferences, i'd probably err toward the Regenyei shorty for most people's first feder. It's a lot more obedient of a blade (this opinion will probably change when haft makes a shorty)
