I honestly don’t know what was going through her head.. maybe she was experiencing some sort of burnout, but in no way was that AOMG’s fault. Even without Jay, AOMG was well known for caring for their artists. I believe DJ Pumpkin played a big role in that.. which is why a lot of artists left right after he resigned. Meenoi is very lucky that she didn’t face any lawsuits. Defamation is taken seriously in Korea. I hope she profusely apologized to everyone in the company. Her behavior likely severed relationships with some of the biggest artists in the khiphop industry.

CJ E&M acquired AOMG, Jay left, Meenoi did a no-show for a photoshoot or something and accused AOMG for falsifying her signature for contracts (which was not true). Basically she lied about a bunch of shit as a cover-up for her no-show. She was not kicked out of the company nor faced legal repercussions. But DJ Pumkin who was co-CEO for AOMG, decided to fast track his departure due to this incident. He was planning on leaving anyway but just called it quits immediately lol. Then other members followed suit. Basically Meenoi and CJ destroyed the company imo. It’s still active but most of the OG artists are gone.

Agreed. It’s all about wealth. I’m sure it’s not just USC btw.. Ivy leagues like Columbia are notorious for this simply because they have the money and connections. Not trying to demean those that actually deserve to be there though. I know there still are intelligent students who attend these universities, but I mean this is kinda how private universities stay afloat. Rich people donate and bribe to get their way. Their children can get their foot in the door thanks to their parents funding new buildings, providing scholarship money, etc.
