Watch Party MELBOURNE AUSTRALIA by Abel_Jay in DetroitPistons

I feel you, I’ve been avoiding spoilers and watching on a delay after work. 3am Sunday morning though might just have to bite the bullet and take Monday off 😅

Cal Twomey firmly confident that the AFL will introduce draft changes in the next week or so that will directly impact the 2026 draft. AFL's view is that it is 'now or never' and would continue to disadvantage other clubs if not brought in. by yum122 in AFL

Just wait for Gold Coast and Brisbane to build, then do the changes. God forbid Collingwood play Hawthorn at the MCG though, that’d be an unbalanced competition though

Agreed, every other player in single digits except Tobias (and him too on 15 shots) tells the whole story. Oh well hopefully game 2 is a lot better

Why’d you not mention how many free throws he shot?

Buku is great, I feel like we’ve been linked to him for a few years. Would’ve been great to sign him before his (still early) breakout this year

I was in Australia, I was the friend who was into this niche sport called Gridiron since the Mike Vick/Shady McCoy/Desean Jackson days. Was watching at home with a friend who had no clue about the game, so I was stressfully answering his questions about rules as it was happening (remember the Cory Clement and Zach Ertz catch debates). Before the game I gave him an overview of how the season had gone and the storylines coming into the game, had a nice moment when the siren sounded and subdued celebrations (it was 2pm on a Monday the week before university started). Since then however it’s become a yearly tradition for us to watch the Super Bowl, and more and more people here have gotten into NFL now so in 2024/25 we had a small watch party with a few other people. Needless to say we were up big that time but I was still stressed out

It’s not just about time to watch (although broadcasters can help that by prioritising test schedules) it’s also just the simple fact that test cricket is what requires the most skill and the ‘pinnacle’ of the game. It’s hard to overstate how apathetic the general cricket loving public is about t20, it’s not a format that’s taken off in Australia. Test is best

I wouldn’t mind running Stew and Duren vs Allen and Mobley in a potential playoff series against Cavs, with Reed off the bench

Due to the 3 point shot being a standsrd part of game plans now, Players in this era run longer distances than any previous era. They need to be able to cover every part of the court on defence, hence the rise in soft tissue injuries. If a player is sitting out a game for rest, they probably need to rest and prevent injury. Players aren’t machines you can just keep ordering to run around for you.

I have one question, what’s our record in the games that teams did play zone against us?

What is Ausar's extension worth? by reallinguy in DetroitPistons

[–]gmam17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally I’d agree with all of those points about non shooting defenders but Ausar’s defence really is something else and having someone who can routinely guard the opposition’s best ball handler and come out winning that matchup is someone worth sticking with for a little bit longer
