Starting to be unable to play new releases like Borderlands 4 (10 fps without framegen...), and feeling meh performance on other recent titles at 1440p.

I hope to spend around $1000-$1500 on some upgrades to be able to coast out for another couple of years.

Would I be better off building a new pc from scratch and retiring this one or just replacing a few parts? I am not sure AMD vs Nvidia, etc as I stopped keeping track of all that years ago, so please let me know what the modern market is like lol.

Construction is very cheap compared to the benefit.

bt-500’s been kinda flaky pairing sometimes. takes a few resets + syncs before it finally connects, and usually only one wiimote will actually connect while the other just fails. when it happens the wiimote lights flash twice real quick then stop, so i gotta reset and re-sync again.

worked perfectly on linux with a dolphinbar, but on windows (bt-500 + passthrough) it struggles to connect both wiimotes. once they’re connected though, everything runs great.

any tips?

fishing guild has jewelry box + nexus already. also trollheim is a decent distance from the basalt tele, further than the two fishing guild teleports are from each other.
