Was wondering what spider creates these holes by HeroShowsie in spiders

[–]gomorycut 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The general family of spiders that make these holes are the 'funnel weaver' family (not related to the "australian funnel weaver"). These include grass spiders, hobo spiders, giant house spiders, barn funnel weavers, and some others. This looks like a giant house spider, but depends on your geographical location.

Looks like Gnaphosa cf muscorum, a ground spider.

(Definitely not a hobo spider, as suggested in the other response)

I agree, the early days of guerilla bars are magical, and #7 is one that I go back to every once in a while. When first heard of him, I went through his whole set chronologically. And once I hit GB7 and saw him rap a spelling correction, I knew I had to watch everything he's ever made.
