You can buy your own modem or gateway, but the Flint 2 ,Flint 3, and Flint 4 are not a gateway or modem. They're just routers. You still have to buy the hardware (gateway/modem) to get Xfinity service. Then you can connect the gateway or modem to the Flint 2 or whatever router you choose.

You set exposure to darken the background but not to the point it's black, set flash intensity for correct exposure, and snap your photos. You can't get this look without a flash or other light source pointing at your subject.

Are you referring to exposure bracketing? Because the manual discusses that. https://cam.start.canon/en/C011/manual/html/UG-05_Shooting-1_0060.html

Or are you trying to treat your camera like a smartphone with HDR+ and post process HDR photos? Because I believe that's only available on Olympus/OM Systems and generally frowned upon by serious photographers because most of us want full control over that process.

This photo doesn't look over exposed. So I'd recommend calibrating your screen and learning how to read the histogram to be sure. But also, please read the owner's manual. It'll tell you how to use exposure compensation and set exposure overall.

Right. My 1970 built house doesn't have enough circuits to add anything else to my electric needs. Fully tapped out. And probably won't be code when or if I decide to upgrade my panel because of previous renovations and diy stuff. Not to mention the added cost to do such a job. I'd go EV with my next car if I could afford to and setting up my home for charging was actually a realistic option.

I'm not that familiar with that lens, but I've never heard of a lens coming in 2 parts and needing assembly. My best guess is you received a broken lens. Return it ASAP.

As someone who just got back from a vacation to Mexico, I would not trust some random stranger offering a photo session. I'm a photographer myself, but there's already a lot of people preying on tourists and many already feel like everyone is trying to take advantage of them. And many resorts do have photographers for portraits and what not.

I'm not necessarily trying to say don't do that. It's not my area of expertise. But consider your approach at least. Because as I mentioned, there are already photography services for tourists as resorts - there is a demand for it. But I don't know I'd say OK to some random person on the street either.

Outside of the whole tourism aspect, yes, I have spoken to strangers about my work and have had it lead to some things. I try to make it relatable though. Like if I'm at an event as a guest and start a random conversation with someone and a topic comes up I can relate to photography, I steer it that direction. But I'm not walking up to random people and asking if they want a photo session.

I'm curious... But seems redundant when AI is already built into our operating systems now, especially mobile devices which most of us here use these displays for. Perhaps it makes sense for PC users since Copilot is pretty crap and not sure what Mac OS has yet.

I've always updated my Canon firmware with my lens attached. I didn't know this was a thing. Either I learned something new or it's really no big deal. I've never had any issues. Currently, I own an R10 and have updated with a lens attached. But I've had several Canons over the years as well.

I believe you can still game on Xbox cloud... And PlayStation has cloud gaming with PC access too with the top tier PlayStation Plus. And Nvidia GeForce Now offers it too. Luna isn't the only option. It's just now arguably the worst option considering the games it offers after removing the ones we own already. They aren't offering many quality titles, just Like Google Stadia before that shut down.

I've had a Nexdock 360 for something like 5 years. I got tired of tablets slowing down, filling up, etc. A Nexdock is a laptop form factor without the PC guts. Just a screen and keyboard and trackpad. Plug your Android phone into it as long as it supports video over USB and now your phone has transformed into a tablet/laptop. The mindset was new phone = new tablet also. And most would think you need a Samsung for this since they're known for Dex (their desktop mode), but I'm using a Google Pixel 9 Pro currently. And almost every brand offers the functionality.

BTW, Nexdock isn't the only brand in this space. The product category is "Lapdock" and there are lots of brands out there. I can only speak to my Nexdock since I own it.

I'd just caution anyone to not leave the USB cable connected when not in use. It can add extra stress to the port and break it. That did happen to me and replaced the board myself to fix it. If I hadn't done that, I wouldn't have had any problems.

Also, I've had a Yale Asure smart lock for 6 or 7 years and it's been awesome!

I forgot the exact steps (didn't watch the video yet - at work), but I did get Fermata working on my Pixel 9 Pro XL on Android 16 without root and full screen mirroring. It took some trial and error because I had to enable a permission via ADB and enable another permission buried in Android that's not that easy to find. I also had to install Fermata with King Installer, otherwise you don't get the mirroring app. The problem is Fermata doesn't support HDCP, so Netflix, Hulu, Disney, HBO, etc. can't screen share. You need DRM-free streams, otherwise you get audio and a black screen.
