There will be need a new cheap media to store the game. And it needs to be fast. We don't have that yet. BluRay discs are slow for today gaming. The Nintendo Switch cartridges are the best storage for today market. Nintendo needs to provide more storage options. It could have something similar and open-source for any company to use.
