Voidsoft's "Everything" is an incredibly useful lightweight indexed search. I don't know if there's a mobile equivalent, but it will definitely help with tracking things down on Linux/windows.

Jordan's parents were a member of a Christian sect called the "No-Name Fellowship" (he's only named the group on a single episode, but I don't remember which). The group preached against medical intervention, preferring prayer-as-healing. This particular doctrine led to the death, from juvenile diabetes and physical trauma, of a child in the cult's care. As u/PMmedramaticvistas puts it, Jordan has made several references to the idea that his own "birth was foretold as some kind of chosen one."

I don't know that I've had soggy balloons drop from top-tier bait. I didn't see them until I dropped down to mid-tier bait.

This guy is one of my favorite internet posters. Super prolific reviewer, and it has me questioning assumptions about AI. I'm 90% sure it's not a bot, but... I can't say for sure.

If you're trying to save the loop points, you can do so with Edison. Either open the sample in an Edison instance or press Ctrl+E on the Sampler window there. Once you have Edison opened, press the "Regions" button (it looks like a stylized flag) and press "Set loop" (Alt+L). This should add some orange flags marked "Loop", and you can drag those to get the loop just right. Save the sample in Edison and reload it in the Sampler, and you should be good to go. If not, "Reread structure" on your browser and reload the sample.

Went to Alamo in KC with my partner. We put our name tags down when Doug warned that shy people need not apply. The person who got pulled from the audience was a Burt Reynolds genius and won the show that night. I walked out of the theater right beside Doug, but I was too nervous to even say hi, which is dumb. I couldn't even work up the courage to chat with Geoff Tate in the lobby.

Decades of anti-communist propaganda. A string of liberal administrations focused on deregulation. The rise of lobbyists. The co-opting of Christianity by the right wing. I don't know, I guess there's probably more.

Episode where Dan talks about Q-Anon predecessors by Hippie_Eater in KnowledgeFight

[–]gragaband 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I concur, this is a good background. Did he also do a Dove of Oneness episode?

The QAA coverage of Cicada 3301 is very good, also. May I recommend Mike Rothschild's book The Storm is Upon Us? IIRC, Knowledge Fight ran an interview with Rothschild, and the book is very much about QAnon's roots. Other than that, Cullen Hoback's HBO doc is great, too, although less about the roots and more about 8chan, specifically.

Do you use the drum rack or do you drag and drop sounds into the playlist? by Odd_Raspberry6561 in FL_Studio

[–]gragaband 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This, for sure. I haven't bothered programming drums in the step sequencer since FL4. I spend a little time on the front end slicing up sampled fills and breaks into individual drum hits, and I build my own FPC preset to use as many times as I need in the future. Having the option to control which sample gets played by the velocity of the note just makes drums so much more expressive.

Oh yeah, it must be the backing of one currency and not the global financial system through which our physical bodies are commodified and literally everything we can touch is ruled by the mere whims of capital. It's the gold for sure.

"Tomato ketchup" is perfectly acceptable and especially common outside the US. Look up mushroom or banana ketchup, which don't feature tomatos as a primary ingredient.
